Damn that sucks. Hopefully one of the two can suit up. If both of them are down I'd be shocked if we win against a fully healthy Pacer team.

What great news. Hopefully some more Knicks can miss the game, like Hart and McBride!

It's gamesmanship...I expect both to be available.

Did RJ and IQ get any sort of tribute video when they came back to MSG? I know they got a nice applause in the starting lineups, but did they show something before that or during a timeout later?

Im sure Obi will get much love from the crowd when he checks in. Maybe a short video too. His time here was ultimately disappointing, but it wasnt all his fault and he did give us a bunch of highlights during our resurgence. Like him or not he contributed to 2 playoff teams (about to be 3 with the Pacers). He just wasnt a fit with Thibs and we’re cool with our team now. Was looking forward to him and Julius battling again.

Some guy on KNICKFAN TV predicted the loss to Portland. Said the Bucks cant handle teams that run/play with pace...

I would probably go 90% that he'll get at least a small tribute. It's a good look when we do things like that.

On the jumbotron they should display Realgm posts that insulted Randle to prop up Obi.

As a social experiment.

After the 21-22 season there was a legit debate on who we should move forward with. They werent so far apart then.

Obi had a very good and improved 2nd season which ended great, and Julius had an awful season where he was bottom of the barrel in most advanced stats with negativity surrounding him everywhere. Then in 22-23 Obi regressed (outside of his 3 ball, which you said wouldnt improve much and hes shooting 40% now with Indy) while Julius was All NBA again. That put the debate to bed. Im still skeptical when it comes to Randle, but Ive accepted he’s our guy for now.

Carlisle is using Obi way more creatively than Thibs though. Not just camping him in the corner. He’s taking way less 3s, playing him with Siakam (like Thibs never did with Randle) and even at SF. He’s obviously playing well enough to help the Pacers in a bigger capacity than with us, even if he didnt breakout there or anything.

Thibs wasnt interested in developing him into anything but what he’s used to. Obi is an unorthodox player for sure, but good at what he does. He shouldn’t have been drafted here if we didnt like what he was. Anyway, Precious is doing what Thibs wanted Obi to do apparently. We moved on and all is well.
