Embiid didn't want it in the paint in the second half. That fall messed up his mental. I expect him to be a shooter in game 2 so I-Hart can keep his starting role for now.

this isn't going to be easy. we were fortunate jHart hit some bail out 3s during some terrible possessions to close out that game and that embiids knees failed him.

we need Brunson to wake up and Deuce to play a lot of Donte's mins to slow down Maxey.

we need this game.

Brunson usually bounces back with adjustments after bad games. Hoping that holds true in game two.

Also, sixers’ players have been disrespecting us in the media constantly… even Maxey said in the in game interview that Miami is a tougher team to play against…

At the time of the game, there were like 2 playoff games that happened before that...

Think the Sixers are alluding to the fact that they want to clamp down on the offensive rebounding. Honestly, I think that speaks to the fact that they had a really good defense last night -- except for one thing. To have a good defense, you need to finish off possessions, and the Knicks just outhustled and out-toughed them. It's basically what Thibs did last year, when we really didn't have a strong offense. The teams could make our offense ugly, but we leaned into offensive rebounding and got ourselves more opportunities.

I think the best and most obvious counter from our end is to get our MVP going again. Can he figure out what the Sixers are throwing at him, adjust and score? And not only that, but iHart has to get ready to be the outlet, too.

kelly oubre was actually pretty complimentary in the post game interview in the locker room yesterday. said we have starters coming off the reserve team and that they can’t relax

Right. Julius is missed. In the meantime, maybe we can run Brunson’s defenders off numerous screens to either (1) free him up for a good shot, or (2) use him as a decoy to free up someone else.

Somehow this made me think of the 1970 playoffs where the Bullets Wes Unseld had 34 rebounds against Willis Reed in game 4, then in game 5 Willis had 36 points and 36 rebounds in a Knick victory.
