I was thinking about this earlier I'm starting to get excited for camp

I'm still not happy with how the center position was addressed but there's no such thing as a perfect roster.

I just want to see some 5 out offense during games. I hope Thibs can be flexible

Brunson
Divo
Mikal
OG
Randle

C'mon Thibs. At least 10 mpg.

If Hart is on from 3 next year, that's another shooter. So is Deuce.

No reason Knicks can't play 5 out at times. Imagine Precious develops a 3.

In an alternate universe, Mitch can make NBA 3s like he does in internet clips.

That's the realm where Mitch wears three piece suits and drives his Tesla to attend a reunion with his Rhodes Scholar buddies

I still think OG showed us during that Philly series that he can run small ball 5 effectively. I would honestly end halves with OG/Randle/Bridges up front as long as we're not facing any of the big boys like Philly or Denver.

OG defending centers at times during the playoffs, yes.

But I would never have OG fighting against centers and the chaos at the rim during the regular season. You'll just expedite his getting injured.

I would rather lose a few more reg season games with OG not playing C....than have the first seed and an injured OG going into the playoffs.

Knicks need to get another legit center...period.

Yep

Further, this is Thibs we're talking about here. The man wants some meat in the middle. Give it to him

Lakers want him it seems.

He would provide us the interior option on offense and maybe is barely good enough in the post as a defender, but nothing like Hartenstein who was a superior trailing defender who could make recovery defensive stops on the PnR when out of position.

If our goal is to have a staunch defender in the paint after Mitch, Val is not that guy, though our offense would be pretty potent with him in the middle. Maybe that's enough.

You people wanting OG to play center must like watching him in a suit on the bench...because that's exactly where he'll end up for most of the season if he's playing extended mins at the 5.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

OG winds up on the bench in a suit no matter where you play him; might as well play him at the 5 some.

Exactly, you get it. Clippers are a Kawhi injury away from cutting payroll to officially become a treadmill team.
