We give up the most points per100 of any team in the league so far. Offense scores the 4th most per100

We're just dead last in pace, so both look like middle of the pack. Last year our pace was 95.2 (dead last in the league), this year so far it's 94.0. Last year the D rating was 113.4 which was 10th (this year would be 13th), this year it's 120.6 which would also have been dead last last year

We have a hyper-efficient offense, as a team we're averaging .601 TS (currently 5th in the league, would also have been 5th last year), we just can't stop anyone.

Hopefully that's just a small sample size and extremely inflated by that horrible Cs game.

My memory is sht but I feel they played well again the pacers and the cavs for 3quarters.

Idk, get well soon Mitch and develop Huk.

It's all small sample sizes tbh

But yes, the defensive rating the last 2 games was 106.1, which would be top 5, and offensive rating was 117.6, so offense didn't really drop off

The Celtics game is worrying though, cause it kinda shows the blueprint to beat us and because if we want to win, we have to go through them.

Yea...taking 50 3s and hitting 60% of them until the scrubs took over is the blueprint to beat everybody
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right

I said something similar in the Cavs GT but if KAT truly wants to embrace the C position then he's gotta punish the smaller defenders. Jarrett Allen is 6'9". Bam is 6'9". No matter how good on defense these guys are , size is size and will always be an advantage. KAT needs to post up on these guys every time down the floor. If anything his passing should generate some open looks for others when the defense collapses on him.

Right the way the 3 was falling they would have beat any team in existence.

3s should be generated through a system. Chuck and duck will only take you so far especially in the playoffs. I still believe that a lethal outside threat at the 2 would help a lot

It was easily one of the best games I’ve ever seen a team play.

I think we already have the guns, what we lack is the system, ball movement, familiarity to fire those guns at full throttle. I watched the Curryless Warriors run circles around the Pelicans last night and thought to myself, now that is a system tailored perfectly to it's player strengths rather than the coaches comfort zone.

Move the ball. Shoot threes. Feed KAT. Play defense.

Basketball shouldn't be hard for a roster this loaded.

What system should the Knicks use? Like you said they are still getting familiar with one another so that’s going to take time. But to truly unlock their strengths as a unit they still need a true outside threat at the 2 especially with the way OG has been struggling shooting from outside so far, can’t have two guys in the starting lineup shooting below 20% from deep on over 8 attempts a game.

“It’s early for us (in season) but I think we have to communicate to each other a little better. I think when they were making their (run) we just stayed a little silent,” Mikal Bridges said. “It’s tough. I think we all know it’s just a run, so we will be okay. But sometimes you have to vocalize to each other and listen. ‘Are we good?’ And talk to each other on the court when things happen. I think we got a little quiet. And they felt that and they kind of got a little loud and a little momentum. But… it’s early.”

“We have to generate more (threes). Sometimes it’s a byproduct of deep-paint decisions,(making) the read,” head coach Tom Thibodeau said. “Obviously you want as many layups as you can get. If there’s two on you, spread it out. And then everyone has to – you can’t just stare at the ball, you have to stare at the whole court… You’ve got to read the man in front of you, what’s he doing so we don’t get guys drifting up on each other.”

“Getting a look at someone different to try to change it up. Their bigs are pretty dynamic. We wanted to see what it would look like,” Thibodeau said, adding that Hukporti’s minutes against the Cavs were "solid."

If Thibs is floundering to get this team together...he'll get canned.

We definitely played better against Cleveland than the Lakers are right now especially on defense. Will see if our guys can shoot better tonight. Game time!
