Not good imo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No bench!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

According to Gilbert Arenas, players in the NBA get injured frequently because they often go from minimal training to playing high-intensity games immediately, meaning their bodies aren't adequately prepared for the sudden strain, and they frequently play through injuries without proper recovery time, leading to further complications; he also criticizes the lack of sufficient game-speed training during pre-season compared to the intensity of actual games.
Key points from Arenas' perspective:
Lack of proper preparation:
Players might not be adequately conditioned for the demands of a game due to a lack of high-intensity training during the off-season or pre-season.
Playing through pain:
Athletes often feel pressure to play through injuries, even when not fully healed, which can exacerbate the issue.
Intensity gap between practice and games:
Training drills in practice might not replicate the same level of physical exertion as a real game, leading to unpreparedness when facing high pressure situations.

“The reason you guys are getting these dumba** injuries is you guys are going from zero to 100 real fast,” Arenas said on the 'Gil's Arena' podcast. “You're starting off in the preseason, not really getting into condition.Dec 10, 2024

Lets just hope that our Knicks are getting in shape with all of these mintues and will be stronger than the rest of the contenders come
play-off time..
In the mean time -I think some of you should check out the^ video to gain a deeper perspective on the matter...

I mean, one thing we can say for sure is that these guys' conditioning is the best in the league

So if the Knicks give a beating to a winning team so badly they go on a tailspin to wind up under .500 that should count for something....no?
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

Which reminds me of our SAS Christmas game. When we played them they were 15-14- ie +500...when they lost to us they became
a 500 team. This is why I always base everything on context first no pun intended...

Here's what I came up with.

Teams we beat that were .500 or better when we played them:

1. Pacers
2. Heat
3. Suns
4. Nuggets
5. Magic
6. Twolves
7. Magic
8. Spurs
9. Magic

Teams we lost to that were .500 or better when we played them:

1. Celtics
2 Cavs
3. Rockets
4. Mavs
5. Hawks

Teams we beat that were below .500 when we played them:

1. Wiz
2. Sixers
3. Pistons
4. Hornets
5. Bucks
6. Nets
7. Nets
8. Hornets
9. Pelicans
10. Raps
11. Pelicans
12. Raps
13. Wiz
14. Wiz

Teams we lost to that were below .500 when we played them:

1. Jazz
2. Hawks
3. Pacers
4. Bulls
5. Pistons

So far we haven’t beaten any team in the top 4 of each conference (Orlando was missing banchero/franz). I think once we start beating those teams we’ll really see the true potential of this squad. The Denver and Minny wins are the most impressive games so far. If we can replicate that against a team like Boston/Cavs :o

Yea. Cavs and Celts games were our 1st and 3rd games to open the season. We have to play them again with our new team having built some chemistry, Precious playing over Sims, and Mikal waking up.

The Magic only played 5 games with Banchero this season and were 3-2. They've build their good record without him. The first time we played them, they had Both Wagner bros. Overall that was a solid win. We also beat them in Orlando without Franz, but that same team was still good enough to beat Boston. Magic have earned their record.

Since we are a top 3 team in the east, the other top 4 are Cavs, Celts, Magic, Bucks. We've beaten 2 of those teams. the West is a different story. Either way, we're looking forward to Mitch coming back soon; his impact matters and his minutes will give guys some rest.

On that note, I think our biggest issue right now is the bench, or lack thereof. Starters are playing too much and fatigue is real. Those elite teams actually play their benches . Games vs them could come down to who has more gas left in the tank to close games :-?

I’m just thirsty to see us dominate against better comp  but we should find out in the next month what this team is really about.

I saw rumors about us wanting Jordan Clarkson. He would prob help the bench

I was told under Thib's Knick tenure 9 games was the longest streak...
I just want us to break the all time record which I think is 18 games- just for the sake of Knick team confidence and Knick realgm board confidence...I think it will do a lot to move us in a more unified direction Wingo :D

It makes sense. It's a good reason why you need guys who have good regimens in the off-season who come into camp ready to be put through their paces.

I did like that OG demanded a stretching/yoga specialist be added to the staff. You do have to tailor routines to body types as well like Gil was saying about Zion being a linebacker without a training regimen.

Will be interesting to monitor. Payne lost minutes recently. Kolek has stopped playing other than final minutes of blowouts so I hope he's ready if the opportunity comes. I do believe he can get the job done
