I believe this as well.

It’s very subtle but you can see it.

These players talk outside of the game & practices, they have each others numbers, they link in real life, Mikal speaking up wasn’t some random surprise.

They will still play with effort but they’re checked out. Writing is on the wall for Thibs the same way it was for Fizdale.

 @ Thibodeau using Deuce and Josh as PGs when an actual PG is on the bench keeping the seats warm.

i think this is the start of the end for thibs...all considering how much clout he has with leon, i dont think leon would be willing to sacrifice everyone's ass for thibs job security

The roster seemed to have tuned him out already

FO can't be happy either. They brought in guys like Wright and Beauchamp who should be Thibs guys and he's not using them.

I believe we saw the peak version of what this group could ever become heading into that OKC road game. We will never go beyond that level. You can bring in a different coach and it won’t move the needle as much as you think it will. The roster is structurally flawed. Trade some guys while their values are high and retool around Brunson.

The roster isn't flawed, Thibodeau just refuses to put Karl-Anthony in the post and force teams to double-team him the way they would with Julius.

If I were Leon I’d keep Thibs around forever because he takes all the heat for the malformed roster the zero depth and no picks until 2032 because we brought in Villanova Frank who doesn’t even look as good as Grimes

100%.

WWW was trying to get Thibs fired not too long ago as well I believe. He’s probably pushing for them to hurry it up.

This team is either bored or depressed or both.

We need the Burner back.

Wake up me when the playoffs start.

He tried to get Thibodeau out of here during the 2021-2022 season during the all-star break.

- Put KAT in the post and surrounded him with OG, Deuce, Mikal, and Jalen.
- Force teams to collapse their defense to double-team KAT in the post, then have him pass it out for a spot-up 3 pointer from a teammate.

This simple adjustment took Thibodeau until last season to figure out with Julius, when any other coach would've noticed this simple adjustment in previous seasons.

This season everyone on the court has to create their own shots in isolations on every offensive possession.

It really does appear that the team is unraveling. Hart/Brunson/KAT all made comments about being tired. They took the no excuses high road but, the sentiment was there. Then Mikal dropped the hammer. Clyde/Breen/Hahn/Pidto/Monica have all talked about the short rotation/minutes. The team has been gassed late in games they lost constantly. Opponents have openly commented on the strategy to run us out in the second half. No other team in the entire league does this. The top 4 teams combined have less players in the top 25 than we do.

At some point this is going to boil over. It has been simmering for a while now. EVERYONE is talking about it. The losses piling up are gonna make it hotter.

You can't ignore your bench all year and then, throw them out there in some mash up of substitutions that never make sense and expect results. Now we need the team to fill the hole left by Brunson collectively but, there's little to no chemistry or cohesion. Just a free for all slop fest. Players out of position everywhere. It's great when it's clicking but, not elite. When it's bad it's historically bad.

I am sorry, but a lot of our struggles are definitely due to Thibs. For example, he keeps forcing a lineup that includes Precious and Hart. Those two cannot be in the lineup at the same time. This is **** common sense as neither can really shoot. Also, Precious just sucks at the 4, yet he keeps getting minutes.

He refuses to play any of the rookies for even 5-7 minutes per game. There is absolutely 0 downside to this as Payne and Shams and Precious have played like complete trash. Give it go guys that actually have a future on this team for the next couple of seasons. Not these 1 year vets who wouldn’t crack rotational minutes on most playoff teams.

He doesn't look for solutions. Apparently he can tell just by practice(which we allegedly don't do) and the 3 random minutes of garbage time players get that they aren't useful ever. That is of course until the rotation drops like files.

I want him fired. I'm done. I've been done but, I try using the endless list of excuses to give him a pass. He's not my cup of tea.

I was perfectly willing to let Thibs finish out the season, and then bringing on someone new in the offseason a couple of weeks ago. But now I just want him gone. His coaching has become toxic, and the players are no longer responding. They’re not even outworking other teams which used to be an MO for Thib’s run teams. It’s basically the opposite now.

Just give this team someone else to respond to, because he has lost the locker room.

And it don't even have to be low post. The second Brunson is out of a game we should resemble the Kings under Adelman with Towns playing Chris Webber and everyone orbiting him.

Do you blame them or Thibs? He decided not to play them for a while and then rolls them out. Good coaches make sure their bench is ready by giving them reasonable minutes.

we lack ball handlers that can create for themselves or others. brunson obvious is elite but most teams have more than 1 guy that can dribble into the paint, collapse the defense and draw a foul or kick it out for an open 3.

Wingstop have dubious handles and inconsistent playmaking. Devin Booker incoming!
