Is JJJ rumored to even want out? I see a lot of mentions here but is it just because people want him or does he actually want out

If so he would be a great get.

Last time Horford left Boston he instantly became a corpse and his wife started fighting with fans. And that was when he was 33...He's now going to be 39. The Sixers had to cough up a 1st just to get rid of him.

I'd stay away. Feels like a guy who comes here, falls off a cliff and people accuse him of being a sleeper agent for the Celtics

yeah but how many bigs can we get for the tax players mle ? you need someone who has made most of their money already

I mentioned in the trade thread but, I'd prefer Brook Lopez if we're going for Mitch insurance and a vet with that money.

It's pretty clear we're keeping Thibs so you might as well get players who fit what he wants and Brook is pretty much a prototypical Thibs Center. Still a good rim protector, decent screener, will space the floor and doesn't need the ball in his hands.

A good idea but I think even less likely to take that money

Think it's more of a Memphis is "stuck" and regressing situation and this is the last year before they would have to really pay him. DO they really want to commit 75% of their cap to Morant, Bane and JJJ?

Fat Bastard Windhorst started some rumors regarding it about a month or two ago.

So, either it has legs or Windy is craving another shipment of Katz's Deli Jumbo Meats Box and needed the extra clicks for $

Saw a tweet that Payne, Precious and Shamet are all goners.
Well does that mean we will play the bench? I have no clue anymore

Knicks bench is "ok" at best.

That's besides the fact Thibs doesn't play it.

They need a better bench. It wouldn't hurt to have a different bench, which might be equal in talent to the current one but fit better.

Not sure what the Knicks can accomplish with $1.95 in cap space, but Brock Aller is a wizard, so who knows.

I picked the 3rd option. This team needs bench help. It was a deficiency all season. The starters produce enough. I don't think they need to make major moves, just bring in a "6th man." The Knicks need that spark plug type of player than can come off the bench and change the game offensively and also play in the clutch. Somebody like Pritchard or McConnel.

Deuce has his moments and continues to improve, but he's not a game changer.

I love what Mitch Robinson brings to the team, but he's a 1 way player and liability on offense.

Kolek might become that guy in the future, but we don't have enough sample size yet.

Payne, Shamet, Wright? Meh.
SELL THE TEAM, JIM!!! :curse:

I would rather trade KAT for Giannis.. but if the Knicks are trying to make a big 3 of KAT, Giannis and Brunson that would be kinda exciting

If the Giannis trade is there for a reasonable price, I would make the deal of course. Otherwise, I personally think we should fire Thibs. He’s older now, and maybe some fresh blood with a new coach/ new voice is needed in with modern offensive and defensive schemes. We are very close to a ring, and have this 2-3 year window. Have at it!

I think you need to re-make the thread.

It sounds good but filling out the rest of the team would be a challenge. I have no idea how they'd be able to do it, and the guys they would have left around them wouldn't fit either. It'd be tough.

huge opportunity to do better than a myopic platform for your own thoughts.

viewtopic.php?f=24&t=2461586&start=20#p118818378

if there's a poll, it should be broader in scope than a few of your ideas, allowing room for suggestion and discussion of a wide range of possibilities. less is more.
RIP magnumt

thanks for everything, thibs.

Yeah that’s why I would rather trade KAT cause we’d still be able to keep OG and Mikal. If you trade them both then it’s much harder to build a team.

Now on the flip side, I can sorta see why the Knicks are tryna make a big 3 with Giannis. I think they’re trying to follow the Cavs model. A big 3 with random bench players to win it all.

Lebron - Giannis
Kyrie- Brunson
Love- KAT

So it can work I think.
