To be fair, if Balkman had wanted to, he could have been a BEAST at PF. that was in an era where Jerome Williams and Kenneth Faried were valued players.

The player I'm most interested to see is McCullar. Prior to his injury, he was mocked in the late teens

Knicks picked up three players three years from being three years away. Like the synergy

It's astonishing how athletically gifted some people can be and have so little motivation to learn to play basketball at a 6th grade level.

What’s even more wild is the Knicks decision to add 3 guys like this in one year

I mean I get we have not real way to improve this year thanks to CAA. But I think I just draft best available 4 year college player.

Re: Welcome to the Knicks Mohamed Diawara (51st Pick 2025 Draft)
This kid is basically (maybe) the next development project in the SF pipeline.
I think McCullars is viewed as most ready to contribute, MIGHT be able to push for some minutes. Based on age and if health is there.
Dadiet I believe was always a three year plan. So next year he competes with McCullars for whatever minutes there is at backup wing.
Diawara is the big swing at a guy the Knicks figure won't be ready for 4 years. They aren't in a hurry. Even they realize he probably won't pan out but they'll have a couple of more drafts between now and four years from now.

I agree. I think last year's foursome were "for use". This year's moves are just things on the back boiler.

I feel like this pick was a favor to Guerschon Yabusele's agent to lock in that signing tbh...

McC needs to make the roster again. Will he be another two way? He is currently on the bubble. We need to know how invested they are in him moving forward. If the Yabu deal is the full boat, then McC will most likely be the last vet mini to pair with Diawara or Nnaji. That's the current assumption.
That means we will have 5 projects plus whatever two way projects we add. Total of 8 inexperienced players on the team. That's gonna be a lot of development players on a win now team. Our depth outside of the current top 9 are all kids.who have no real NBA experience to speak of. We better hope a couple of them hit the mark.

This is the real genius of having a POBO who thinks like a player agent.

Yabusele and Diawara have the same agent. That's quite the coincidence. The fact that Dadiet is also French has to be icing on the cake for signing Yabu. I mean, we couldn't exactly say, "Sign here -- look how well we treated Fournier!"

Yeah, I shoulda clarified that they share the same agent and are his only two players in the NBA if I'm not mistaken. Rose does legal tampering as well as any president in the league

There is only one McCullar.

That's why he's so good at his job! So glad he's doing for us, not against us LOL
