That trade will never truly get the love it rightfully deserves. Love everything about his game even his middle linebacker handles.

Needs to retire here.

2nd year...looks more comfortable

but also has to feel good knowing you will have times during the game where you will come out and rest

Glad to see Tyler find his confidence. OG was solid and Bridges play in the first set a tone. Scary to think that this team is not even 80% yet.

and 5 out to close out the win.

OG and Mikal with strong games

thing of beauty!

Some observations:

1.Brunson was 5-18....that won't happen many nights.

2.Brunson not going to be overworked. Played a lot more off ball. Pick the iso spots. Beautiful.

3.Liberal rotations. Fantastic.

4.Bridges and OG being deployed a lot more intelligently defensively.

5.Bridges and OG playing a lot more freely

6.TEAM BALL. Did not look disjointed.

7.35 bench points tonight.

8.Defending the 3 ball ....it was not as consistently and maddeningly wide open as under Thibs.

9.McBride looked EMPOWERED under Brown. Bigtime minutes and not the feeling of a guy Thibs reluctantly put out there bc of stubborn mentalities like having too small a backcourt.

Offense is a work in progress but defense is miles ahead. Brunson has to trust the system more, hit the paint more and spray out to shooters. Too many times he resorted to iso ball and bail out the Cavs.
I will only cherish the wins and ignore everything else, because that's the only way to survive as a Knicks fan.

Against one of the best defensive teams missing one of their weakest defenders.

Gotta admit we were a lot better than I thought we'd be. It wasn't pretty all the time but a really good win at home against a rival to start this journey. Props to HC Brown and his staff and these players. They didn't look like a brand new team playing together for the first time. Energy and effort was good and the ball moved. Defensively they got a lot of work to do but they got 81 games to get that right. I was most impressed with how as a team there was no panic or stress when the Cavs took the lead after Spider Mitchell started hitting everything in the 3rd. They played like a mature team expecting to win.

Sleep well tonight! This was a good start!

Looks like Boston lost their home opener to the lowly 76ers since Maxey dropped a 40 burger on them. Maybe we will smack them Friday too

Love these kinda games where we can tell we are the better team. Even when we lost the lead in the 3rd it still felt like we were gonna win.

Last year it was so frustrating watching other teams getting better looks than us. Tonight it really did seem like we had a lot of clean looks.
