Kolek looked nice when he played. The +13 seems reflective of how the team looked on the court with him.

Would need a Kolek highlights video to best make my point, but a lot of things Kolek did usually lead to something good happening.

Kolek played well and got the ball to the right guys.

KAT played well on both ends which is a rare sight. Someone is teaching him how to be a better defender... hopefully it sticks. He's still gotta learn how to avoid those dumb fouls.

I'll say it again... our player development staff has been phenomenal so far this season. I'm seeing little improvements almost across the board and it's adding up to big things.

so what is it about the Jalen/Mikal/OG/Josh/KAT starting lineup that's working this time around that wasn't working last year?

Is it really as simple as it just coming down to Josh's willingness to shoot threes and knocking them down at a high percentage?

Remember, that line-up worked well to start last season. The first month or two, actually. The main reason was probably Hart's willingness and ability to hit threes.

Other reasons that it's working really well right now is that Mikal, OG, Hart, and Brunson are playing at their peaks right now. That helps. The ball isn't sticking. It's not just iso Brunson all the time like it was with Thibs. KAT is slowly starting to come alive... he's played real well the last 4 or so games. On both ends, even. All these things add up in a big way.

Not meaningless. Kolek was out there with Kat to start the 2nd quarter when we won the game. After that stretch we basically played even with them the rest of the way.

I noticed this in the 1st quarter he kept signaling over after every made bucket. Like he was signaling to the fan keep talking.

I feel like there's a balance needs to be found between Brown's ball and player movement offense, and Branson's iso ball. I assume they'll work on finding that balance. Brown I'm sure doesn't want JB isoing as much as he did under Thibs but is smart enough to know it's needed sometimes. Hopefully JB can learn to go back and forth between the two styles and not revert to iso ball too much.
