Ok, Broussard corrected himself.

Yes that's closer to what I just calculated.

Marc Stein ‏@ESPNSteinLine 1m

RT @TimBontemps: @AminESPN @sam_amick I would much rather have Morrow for the bi-annual than Granger, personally (CO-SIGN)

it is kinda weird. i guess riley needed commitments before he met with lebron.

Melo would be an idiot not to resign with the Knicks. So he can give up a 5th year, and play with an old Kobe and Pau, in an intensely competitive West?

Heat are not that good -- Knicks can make inroads.

Marc Stein ‏@ESPNSteinLine 1m

Heat strike deals with Josh McRoberts and, according to @WojYahooNBA, Danny Granger. LeBron, I'm told, was made aware of McRoberts pursuit

I am starting to wondering if Melo is either

A) Waiting for the Heat
B) Trying to use the Lakers against the Knicks to force us to S & T to the Bulls.

If he wanted the Lakers and the money then it would be done already
If he wanted the Knicks and the money then it would be done already

No reason to wait for anything if his decision is Lakers or Knicks.

I think melo is waiting for phil to do another move,,,, Bargs or Stat
J.R. Smith's last-second whiff left the Knicks with a sixth straight loss. But J.R. would do it again. "I think we went with the best shot," he said.

I hope you are right. a S&T could be the best scenario for the knicks, depending on what's coming back

Step 1.) Melo signs deal with Knicks allowing us maximum room for next summer
Step 2.) Lebron re-signs with Miami for 2 years with ETO next year
Step 3.) Heat get ousted in second round next year by us
Step 4.) Lebron opts-out in summer of 2015 and signs with Knicks
Step 5.) Profit
Step 6.) I wake up from my slumber because this could not possibly happen when you are a Knick fan

How much money offered and how long does Parsons have to make a decision?

The numbers aren't out there yet. No idea if there is a deadline on the deal.

Houston has 3 days after an offer sheet is signed.

I'm relatively certain that the second Parson signs an offer sheet, that figure becomes Houston's cap hold for him too.

They can sign a free agent with Parson at his tiny cap hold and then resign Parsons with his Bird Rights, but I don't believe if Parsons is signed to an offer sheet, the Rockets can sign a free agent and THEN match the offer sheet.

So Dallas would want to get him a sign an offer sheet by midnight the 10th.
