I think he'll be out soon.

Timmy has guts as a scorer but what about the bad D, lack of passing, inefficiency. Nah.

dude has a 4 year deal with a PO and is overpaid for what he brings to the table

this is just a stupid deal

What is the purpose of this signing?

A basketball team needs basketball players. Tim has a outstanding character and has shown improvement while in Atlanta. I agree on the money being a little too much but if he continues to improve who knows.

A team needs basketball players, but they don't have to overpay for seriously flawed ones.

Also, let's be real, what did Timmy really improve on while in Atlanta?

He's still 1 dimensional. He still doesn't defend. He's still not a great 3 point shooter.

would you rather have jame johnson he got 4 years 60 million from the heat and he overated
James Johnson has agreed to the framework of a four-year, $60 million deal to stay with the Heat, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com.
The Heat are still trying to shed some salary, so that explains why the terms are not agreed upon just yet. Johnson had his best year with the Heat in 2016-17, turning in career-high averages of 12.8 points, 4.9 boards, 3.6 assists and 1.0 treys. He only started five games, but he's going to get minutes in the upper 20s again. He's a nice target late in drafts.

so that's 17mil/yr to start. So that means he's the 2 guard of the future. TBH, they could do worse. Also it's an offer sheet, so it has to be painful.

Once Melo's and Rose's money are off the books then it's not as bad imo.

No way he's out. I'd bet my realgm account we don't trade him this offseason.

For all those supporting this deal: Are you happy that a new head of basketball ops wasn't allowed to use this cap space and will walk into a team with more than $30 million tied up (almost a third of our cap space, overall) in Noah and Hardaway?

Let's hope that Hawks fans get their wish.

Well I doubt that, they'd probably like to have been able to keep him on a reasonable contract

And to make matters worse, this is just like the Noah contract in the sense of who the hell were we bidding against?

The Hawks supposedly valued him at around $40 million, and no other team seemed to be interested or even had the money to top that. Then we come in $30 million ABOVE the Hawks.

We always bid against ourselves to make matters worse.

Every. Damn. Time.

ENOUGH!

Edit: I should have mentioned. For good measure, we throw in 15% trade kickers.

If by on the ledge you mean you're about to unleash a profanity laced tirade towards the Knicks, by all means go ahead.

In any other context, it's probably unnecessary due to this.
