Zach on this team would be lethal spotting up from 3 and attacking close-outs.

His biggest flaw outside of his defense is his decision-making. He doesn't really know what to do with his dominance. He's faster than everyone else on the court, he's more athletic than everyone else on the court, and he shoots lights out, yet he's not really able to elevate his team and lead them to a winning record. It's something.

I think if he comes here, he needs to accept a lesser role and let RJ and Julius initiate the offense. Zach should be a finisher, not a creator.

If he's willing to make that sacrifice, this trio could be lethal and the foundation of a contender in the East.

You know I feel like he should be a Knick.

i think we need him to create though. cause our offense is pretty ass since we have limited creators next to randle. im sure he will sacrifice some of his touches though. peep what he said after he was named an all star this year
"I'm just going out there playing," says LaVine. "I feel like I've worked on my game each year. Worked on things I've done well and worked on things I haven't done as much. I think hard work contributes to everything. I have that capability to be that guy. I've just got to keep showing it on a nightly basis. It's not always about having energy for the offensive end. It's what the possession needs at that time and what the team needs. I'll sacrifice whatever I have to do to help us win."

i feel like this is the exact type of player thibs loves to coach. randle and rj has that same mindset too.

even though lavine is getting much better every single year, i feel like the results hasn't resulted into wins because of his coaches and horrible roster construction around him. we all know how bad jim boylen was. billy donovan is pretty overrated to me. he lets players do whatever they want. he never held westbrook accountable. i watched a lot of OKC games when melo was there and they had no system. it was just isolation ball and the big 3 would just take turns isolating. donovan's record is only reflective of the talent he had that carried him, not necessarily his coaching ability imo

Knowing Thibs history, I think he's going to push for them to go after Beal this summer.

I wouldn't think twice about trading IQ + FRP for Lavine.

wouldn't it be something if the Mavs stayed the 7 seed, lost to Memphis, and then lost to either Warriors or Pelicans?

He was supposed to be ours, he should have been helping Melo lead the Knicks to wins over the Heat.

IMO he's a more transcendent player than Lebron b/c Steph has kinda changed the way the game is being played. the 3PT shot is now dominating and players are shooting from deeper and deeper like Steph

it'll be interesting to see if they land a top 4 pick (I hope not) b/c that's still in play. and landing someone like Suggs would be huge for them

they need a PG badly. thought they should've taken Haliburton, he would've been perfect for them

Curry with Melo would've set the Garden on fire.

The Knicks did trade their 2009 lottery pick to shed Jeffries and Curry's contract, so Lord knows the stupid decisions they might have made while Curry was going through ankle injuries.

Curry and Melo would've been a perfect fit in a spread offense like 2012-13. Amar'e would've been a problem still though.

Lonzo has been injury prone throughout his career (I'm not concerned b/c they've been minor injuries), but is that something that might give the Pelicans pause about matching an offer sheet?

they've shown they can win w/o him (better record w/o Ball) and Zion has been thriving w/ the ball in his hands. it'll be interesting to see if they are willing to go over the cap to re-sign him and play him in an off-ball role. would be a lot of $ to be paying him to not utilize his talents fully

hoping we can get Zo and him have a J-Kidd like progression. theoretically he should only continue to get better and hopefully he still has that potential that made him a #2 pick

WWW has connections to him.

It's not the way I'd want the team to go but feel like this is what happens.

I'm 100% certain Curry would've been a Nugget if we drafted him.
