He's the good cop, I think RJ, the rookies will gravitate towards him. Thibs is the bad cop. This signing can really make a young team like us to take big leaps.
Celtics give a lot of credit to Kemba for helping unlock Taytum and Brown after the awful Kyrie age. Hopefully he can do the same for RJ and our young ones.
Exactly my point, you could read my mind, the Tatum and Brown situation was first thing I thought about Kemba when contrasting with Kyrie. His infectious good cop and positivity (but not over the top NYKMentality style lol) allows people around him to play the disciplinarian bad cops.
I think he is the type of leader who not only young guys but even Julius needs, e.g. when he was struggling in Hawks series, he needed someone who's encouraging and saying "you'll be fine, you'll get em next game",,"it's just basketball". But Julius had noone to turn to because everyone turned to him.
This will allow everyone to flourish, even Thibs himself. I think RJ, and the rookies will benefit the most, then Julius. I'm rooting for Kemba to return to his All Star form. This could be a match made in heaven.
