I really like all three of the ignite guys for the Knicks. This team…. No this city is unforgiving to raw rookies. Ignite has them playing in a NBA system and while none of them look like stars, they all look NBA ready.

Dyson Daniels is the only one I would want to pick up for the ignite team personally but if that is who we leave with from this draft and not one of the top guys just more disappointment for myself.

idk why the Spurs would trade Murray. he's still 25, just made his 1st all-star team. and the Spurs already have 3 1sts this draft

The Spurs, Grizzlies, OKC, Pacers and Blazers are all potentially going to want to sell their picks.

I keep saying a slick move would be to trade that Mavs 2023 pick for a later lottery pick this year because even in a weaker draft it’s better than 25-30 in next years draft the Mavs are fitting to get.

Especially when the Knicks might have assets to trade into that same range using second rounders.

Flipside no team realistically can bring in 3 rookies and not mess up developing them. Look at the Knicks for example.

If we trade that 2023 Mavs pick Doncic will tear his ACL tripping over a young Knicks fan on vacation with his Knicks fan family in Slovenia the next day.

And they’ll tank to a pick below 10. The protection on that pick limits how good it can get regardless of their bad luck.

:meditate: if the Knicks can get a guy in the 15-20 range for that pick. They should do it. In theory they are losing Taj, Burks, Noel, and Rose over the next two seasons. Replace them now.

7 + Dallas pick + Future protected 1st + whatever for #4, then select Jaden Ivy.

4 quarters don't make a dollar in the NBA. Having an elite prospect is way better than having several decent young players. I don't care if the Dallas pick turns into a lotto pick down the road.

Having a top 3 pick is way better than having 2-3 late lotto picks.

Never easy to trade into the top 4 of the lottery.

big fan of Hardy. came into the season as a top 5 prospect, but has fallen down in the late teen's/20's

IMO he should be graded on a curve b/c he's 19 playing against professional talent w/ an NBA 3PT line. shooting inefficiency is to be expected. he's too good a perimeter shot creator to fall that far

I agree I see both him and Dyson going in the lottery. MarJon is probably off the board in the late teens early 20’s. Dyson reminds me of Lonzo Ball but a bit more willing to use his strength to drive rather than his handle and not as gifted a passer. Hardy reminds me of Kevin Porter JR but less passing ability. MarJon gives me Trevor Ariza vibes I don’t think he’ll be as good as Mikal Bridges but a roleplayer in that vein. Of the 3 Hardy has the highest ceiling based on what we seen so far.

the FO should prioritize moving up in the draft. there are 6 prospects that stand above the rest (in my rankings):

1. Jabari Smith
2. Jaden Ivey
3. Shaedon Sharpe
4. Chet Holmgren
5. Paolo Banchero
6. AJ Griffin

*I keep going back and forth on Jabari vs Ivey at 1

We’re taking Jalen Duren because of his fit (doesn’t command the ball) with stars we don’t have. Book it. We only draft role players out here.

Hell, I think if it is top 4, it’s a chance it still gets traded.

Might be the best option too. This draft is really bad.

I mean, the Knicks can't draft for **** within the lottery if the pick is outside of the top 4 anyway.

Should be fairly easy if it's a straightforward pick. They got RJ at 3, but I guess that was a different office. I mean, if it's a 4 player draft and that 4th player is the only player left available, anyone should be able to get it right.

why Chet at 4?

his advanced stats blow everyone else out of the water, and that isn't even considering the ball skills he possesses for his position.

I mean, we say that, but this is the Knicks we're talking about. I'm even more sheepish with Leon at the helm. the man drafted a player because his son was his agent over a shot creating guard we desperately needed in Halliburton.

3 players w/ the highest offensive/shot creation upside

do u like Johnny Davis at all? hes been balling this year maybe he sneaks in for a team and makes it a 7 man draft? im hoping so cause i can see us moving up to 7 based on standing and schedule. we are up to 8 now and shud jump the spurs. beyond that there is a gap to 5/6 in the kings and pacers.

I do. he'd be 7 for me. my only question w/ him is the 3PT shot. his mid-range pull-up game is great and he defends, rebounds. if he can become a knock down 3PT shooter, he's almost Booker-like

I wouldn't trade a top 4 pick for an out of shape, injury prone player. when you consider the success rate on top 4 picks is pretty high, good chance we draft a future star w/o the risks that Zion carries

no doubt Zion is crazy talented but he's a professional athlete that hasn't shown a commitment to conditioning. major red flag IMO

Getting invested in the draft this early with this regime is a waste of time. I’m not going to even care about the draft really until the lotto results are in. Also As long as Thibs is here there is nothing to get hype about. I learned my lesson after last season investing so much into the draft only to see what the Knicks mode of thinking was the whole time.

I agree with Green Arrow, our pick is going be dangled everywhere this off-season.

Well 2 of the top 4 players are PFs and we won't let a CNPOY get a consistent 12 minutes behind Julius Randle. So unless they trade Randle IDK what we do there. The other is a C as thin as a paperclip given to a coach that wants to win now. The last is a SG/PG and really the guy I want the most cuz I don't wanna deal with the other bull I just explained. And then theres a bunch of wings which is the one position we sortve have a logjam in.

Nobody wants to say but but its actually a better yr to go for a trade of an existing nba player. Just don't trade your lotto pick for Jalen Brunson.
