We need to give Deuce more than one game to get his legs under him. Otherwise it’ll be Donte running the backup point spot I think. Too much change too soon can have a negative affect.

Grimes has not fallen out of the rotation, though.

Agreed. However, he now has 13 million reasons to make it work. In sports, you have to be ready to step up when called upon.

Both Precious and OG are listed at 6-8 but OG looks bigger than that and Precious looks small. He may be bulky and strong which will help him guard other bulky bigs of similar size but I don't see him being able to back up the 5 with any regularity against genuine bigs, maybe some small ball 4s and 5s but not much more than that.

After sleeping on this game for a couple nights, the takeaway I’m most hopeful for is actually Julius balling out against a big frontcourt with rim protection.

The optimist in me wants to believe that Bullyball Julius with open lanes (minus Mitch/RJ) might actually ball the F out in the playoffs.

This is where rokas needs to man up and come over. Apparently he's tearing up the euro league. Enough floating around in his weak sauce comfort zone. Knicks need to call him up

He'd probably want a training camp. Also, Knicks might want to deal his rights

He wants guaranteed playing time. He's good enough to promise him 20 minutes a night. Just bring him over FFS. He's a crafty, old-fashioned distributor. He'd elevate the team another notch.

RJ betrayed Randle when he said he loved Knicks fans in a centercourt postgame interview 2 or 3 games after the MSG crowd booed Randle.

Nobody batted an eyelid but that was fkn weird from a teammate.

Idk about all that, but the two didn’t fit on the court together... He’s about to dominate even more than he already has been.

2020 Randle came back tonight

He has been absolutely killing it for weeks now. He has been in the fiercest attack mode I have ever seen him play... he is really playing to his strength, using his body and flat out bullying people all over the court. He has been playing truly like an All-star, heck All-NBA type player.

I wonder if we could've offered the rights to Rokas instead of the Detroit 2nd if Toronto would have agreed. Just a thought. I really don't know if we would be able to guarantee him 20 minutes a night with the roster presently constructed. The Raptors still need a PG and with a Euro coach, they might have wanted a Euro PG to backup Quickley.

It's a dream worth having, because that version of Randle puts us into contention now with OG and Brunson. The extra sauce is Grimes and Deuce performing well to round out the rotation's depth and adding one C to back up iHart. If everyone shows out we'll be able to make a run. Those several things are probably required, but I now think they are all in the cards so no reason not to dream it now.

I expect they are keeping Rokas on tap in case Deuce doesn't nail down the backup PG role. If Deuce doesn't deliver they bring Rokas in for training camp because the man is seasoned and ready to ball in the NBA.

I'm sure they discussed all possibilities in the 3.5 weeks it took to get the trade done.

Having watched almost all his Raptors games, his best thing on defense is the ability to switch out onto a perimeter player and keep the guy in front of him. Not as good against the genuine bigs down low, as you said.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.
