4) Bogs & picks will be dangled for a guy like Mikal
5) We'll probably draft only 1 or 2 3&D swing men and then trade the 3rd pick or pick a euro "stash" player

iHart / Randle / OG / DDV / Brunson
Bench: Mitch, Hart, McBride w/ Bogs as trade bait at the deadline. 2-3 rookies for extra depth.

Seems like this plan fits the front office's MO...

IMO iHart is gone because there are teams that can pay him much more than we can. IMO OG and Precious are the obvious re-signs. If iHart wants to sign a team-friendly deal, then I see us trading Mitch to a team like the Pelicans who would give us value.

i wouldn't consider the max what we can give him as really "team friendly" and don't see him getting offered much more.

we'll see i guess. I think his value is in the 16-18 range which is what we can pay him. A team could offer like 20 i guess but I don't see anyone offering him like 25-30.

He’s also in line for a huge payday this summer as an unrestricted free agent, although the Knicks will be over the cap and can only offer in the $16 million starting salary range because they hold his early Bird Rights.

I think he certainly could get offers starting at 20M with a possible cap spike in the future...

Do you replace Mitchells salary with I Hart?

Does Randle going back to CAA means he stays?

Are we going for a lower salaried super star?

Trae Young to the Knicks rumors can now begin. Yay.

Trae Young is not a Thibs player. Also isnt the more rugged type combo guard you want next to Brunny.

I don’t want any combo guard next to Brunson but a legit defensive player like Bridges, McDaniels, Williams, Murphy, KCP etc.

On Mitch, honestly, his health problems started when he bulked up. He become more lumbering and stiff legged. The first couple seasons he had the agility and footspeed to cover all over the place. Nowadays he's really just a post defender. His shooting status and completion rate also has been dropping. He should maybe considering dropping weight and getting back to what he was when he first came into the league.

You'd have to wonder how much Giannis might be regretting signing the extension after the Bucks landed Lillard but before they realized that they don't jive well together. Bucks have no cap space with $150 million locked through the 2025-2026 season and only the Lakers 2nd round pick this upcoming draft (can't trade a 1st until 2029).

We prioritized getting Bogey's contract specifically to not trade the Nova guys

I think Garland is on the block this summer. If there was interest, it would be based on him being a complimentary piece b/c he has shown he is not that guy in the playoffs.

I think a combo of Mitch, Hart, and precious is what the knicks need if they run into some of the best teams in the league. I also think the knicks should go all in next season if they think they can add Mikal, and keep Randle. At a certain point you got to over spend to get a chip and the knicks might as well do it now, before they got to make the painful choice of do they super Max both Brunson and Randle.

They can always trade Mitch, Precious, and IHart the season after.

Donovon should be traded this offseason. If Cavs think they are a playoff team, they will want some pieces coming back at the start of training camp.
