Imo it was just the Atlanta series. He was hurt in 2023 and played better towards the end.

Randle's playoff resume is historically bad but he's not that bad bad, so it's not surprising his performance is regressing to the mean a bit. He wasn't going to be that bad in the playoffs forever.

KAT's the better player regardless. So the discussion about Randle is really pointless.

If we had gotten to see a healthy 2nd option Randle in the playoffs, we might never have traded him lol. I will forever believe that if we had been healthy, we could've beaten the Celtics last season *sigh*

But I'd love it if Karl and Julius rewrote their playoff legacies this spring and we ran into each other for 7 games.

Really the whole Randle-playoffs saga was nonsense to begin with. He struggled against Atlanta while being double and triple-teamed all the time. That was it. To me it was 100% clear he can perform in the playoffs. Too bad he got hurt against Miami, we would have easily gone to the ECF last year and given Boston a run for their money.

Really, looking at Randle and DD (and the 17th pick in the draft) KAT has got to perform at a really really high level to make that trade look solid. He gotta keep performing like in game 3. DD brings so many intangibles it is ridiculous really. And oh yeah, having a coach that seems to put Randle in a good place seems to help a ton as well. But Thibs does not have the authority and guts that Finch has.

Good to see Milwaukee fighting back. I can see that series going to 7 really.

And Orlando's defense is really amazing. Like all that team really needs is an off the ball scorer/playmaker and they can really contend for a title.

If Minny beats LA they will beat whoever comes out of that Rockets series and go to the WCF. OKC are still favorites but I like how Minny matches up with them. I could see the Wolves go all the way if Edwards plays at an elite level.

What you can also easily see in the playoffs is that if Orlando didn't have that devastating injury luck this season they would easily challenge for 50 wins. Their defense along with OKC is in their own league. A healthy Embiid alone guarantees 50 wins as well. Th Pistons wouldn't have gotten to the 6th seed in a million years if Orlando and Philly were healthy. Not in a million years.

We are essentially fighting tooth and nails a play-in/8th seed frin playoff team and need like everyone on top of their games to come out with a 2 point win. This team is nowhere near where it needs to be.

We definitely could have beaten the Celtics. We would have swept the Pacers and the Celtics series would have gone 6-7 games with us having a solid chance to advance. We would have been so much better than them in the paint.....

The Wolves may make the finals but there is zero chance we can make it out of the east. That's like magical thinking. We are fighting tooth and nails a fringe playoff team, an 8th seed that does not make the playoffs in the west and may not even make the playoffs in a healthy east. We need everything we got to win by 2 points. We have zero chance against Boston. Zero.

Glad to see people agreeing Randle's playoff numbers were such a stupid argument. Randle wasn't carrying a scrub team in his playoffs debut, he was hurt in Miami series, and he missed last season's playoffs where we all agree he would've had a solid run.

Yeah, like he does the stuff he is good at and minimizes the stuff he is not good at. He is playing much more the way Knick fans were screaming and yelling for for multiple years.

But again, you need a good, courageous coach to structure that whole thing. Thibs does not have it and it is becoming glaringly obvious. We are stuggling to beat a mediocre fringe playoff team while the Wolves are beating the team many had as the second strongest in the west. Finch is a good coach, making adjustments and when necessary benching someone like Gobert who is multiple DPOY and all-NBA defensive team. If this was Thibs he would be playing Gobert 35minutes, regardless of matchups and the outcome...he'd just keep continuing to play him.

He's playing the way he was playing before the shoulder injury. To me, there was a clear alpha issue between he and JB. He wasn't ready to share that light. Injuries forced him into that revelation. I really believed him when he said he was watching film when he was recovering from the ankle surgery. It showed prior to the shoulder injury, showed even more when they got OG to open up the paint with I-Hart. He would've ate good in last season's playoffs.
