I feel you. The BAT has gotten way overrated. What was the trade you just made?

I made two trades
I traded away Westbrook for Parker Batum David West and Myles Turner
Westbrook is the GOAT all of a sudden and Parker is suddenly a piece of **** due to one series
then I traded a bunch of **** for DeMarcus Cousins

The bat seems to have become "a lot" personal for many of the GMs participating, and it is getting out of control. Lets tone it down with the insults, name calling, and vendetta driven posts.
Or we are just going to have to lock this thing up and move on.
So far I have enjoyed the critiques and the rankings however I would love to see more of a less opinion based approach such as a simulation or three.
Thanks all.

Agreed gms take this way to personal, its only for fun
Kind of expected this to happen anyway
Since when has cousins turned into this ultimate building block? . all the talent in the world I'll give you that , but , not knowing the guy personally, it's said his attitude is suspect . there is a bit more to winning then talent
Talent wise is it the most fair trade, no , but yank would be essentially getting 4 starters for his team and a depth guy with potential
Just as an example - say he traded cousins for Paul George and 1 other piece , would be looked at as being more fair but really that wouldn't be enough to shake his team up, cause only 1 guy in the NBA MAY be able to lead that team to the playoffs and that's Lebron
And I kind of expected a counter to get nurkic for almundson swap as well - but it didn't happen - and I also asked yank after he accepted if he felt everything was fair and gave a chance to counter or rethink
Oh well don't really care I just wanted Barnes and Myles Turner hahaha

Fellow GM's listen up to my proposal that I think would make BAT a more fun and more organized contest:
1. Do BAT annually about a month or two before season starts. This way everyone knows when it is and can get more hyped about it. They can also plan around it and know whether they'll have the time to dedicate to it.
2. Have teams get evaluated around all star break by all the gm's. Have a vote sort of like the AS game except your voting for best teams.
3. Finally have the teams get evaluated by a panel of judges, maybe 3. Each team would get assessed and each judge would rank the teams.
I think overall this is much better because it makes it a whole season type of thing and keeps everyone more interested in it. It also gives you the whole season to pick a panel of good unbiased judges. I also think it's a bit more balanced because if you have a younger team that way your guys can get more fairly evaluated since it's not just based on reputation and prior performance.
Let me know what y'all think. We could still try this out for this season.

Yeah that's why I didn't do last bat. I suggested holding people accountable for rankings, thus creating an ending result for these. No one bothered. That's why im not running the sim, no one bothers. Thought this was dead

I don't see how one has to do with the other though, you said at the beginning you would run the sim no? Even if people didn't do their rankings you can still run the sim.

damn Fury almost redeemed himself with Cousins...
BTW, it wasn't just a bad series for Parker, he fell off a cliff the second half of the season. Guy shot 28% from the field the last 29 games of the year. Maybe he was in a funk, or all due to injuries that won't be long lasting, but he is 33 and one of his best assets has always been his athleticism. It's possible he bounces back, but I don't think that should be the expectation.

and lol @ people defending that trade from Yank's perspective. That trade was lightyears worse than both of my trades with him.

Nah. I said if there was enough interest I'd run the sim. But it's dead. As somebody said, too much drama and personal attacks ruin these. It's one thing to critique a trade or poke fun at someone, but this bat has been a turn off.

Tell you what, smash. Taking me out of it, if 14+ GMs respond to this, so I know they're still invested in this (for some reason?) I'll run the SIM.
