As much as I've soured on Melo the player and don't want him on the Knicks, I'm not gonna kill him for this sh*t. It's none of our business, but because of the way of the world, it suddenly is. And I generally despise that. I'm not the type. This stuff sucks.

Good luck to Melo and his family. It's gotta be really hard to keep it in your pants with his stature and money and killer smile. Just hope his relationship with his son doesn't suffer, because I know he loves his son to death. And I respect him for that.

Two child support payments coming though. 50k × 12 months = 600k

600k × 18 years = $10.8 million

So half of his salary in one year covers his child support...and you think he's in shambles? Failed marriage and gets to try again later if he feels like it. Why does he deserve any sympathy or empathy? There's people out there that are much more deserving of that. He should have pulled out. And he should have divorced lala. Nothing tragic happened, you live and you learn.

Potentially losing his wife, not being with his son as much anymore, drama with another baby mama, the stuff with Phil, his career basically approaching the 4th quarter.

I mean part of this he brought on himself, other parts are natural and then the Phil mess that Phil just won't stop pressing but damn this must be tough.

Money is what it boils down to usually.

If the rumors are true, he chose to risk his marriage knowing the consequences. He can be with his son as much as he pleases, I'm sure. Baby mama stuff goes back to that risk with the stripper. Most people have some sort of issue with their jobs and their lives, it happens. He's nearing retirement and will absolutely have a jobs lined up when he does. He is in a better position to deal with his issues than most of the population.

No one got hurt, no one died and we live in a society where marriages tend to fail. He's rich, he'll bounce back. There's no need for sympathy or empathy. If you feel like it's worth it to you, more power to you, but don't expect it of others just because he plays for your home team. That's a bit unreasonable.

Watching this go from blaming the knicks for Melos personal problems, to melo making a stupid selfish decision to create his own personal problems was priceless.

I always found it incredibly odd, and even a little creepy, how often his wife and kid were brought up here when discussing trade rumors. Saying things like, his wife won't approve a trade. Or his son has made friends in school so melo won't approve a trade. The lengths I've seen people go to. I've never seen anything like it before in all my years.

I'll just be glad when this is all done and over with. And it can go back to being about New York knicks basketball.

I don't condone cheating, but it is common, and many times, the partner will never find out. I'm sure it's absolutely rampant among celebrities and athletes.
