Last year he worked on strengthening his Base. This year, he's CLEARLY working on his Upper Body! Gotta love this guy's work ethic!!!

KP's guns definitely look bigger in that pic. This is the kind of development that I want to see from him.

No, but it's good that he's doing it slowly and by zones this way. It helps avoids major injuries (Ben Simmons), and also helps avoids massive changes in shot arcs (Frye) when you add on too much muscle too fast.

this was a conversation about where a player is after year 3. and he said bust for where they're drafted. not a complete bust. but yeah, both of those guys most likely would have to show a lot more next year if they're going to go on and have perennial all-star like careers. and that's what you hope to get with the 2nd or 3rd pick.

Year 3 is usually the year to really start shining.

Year 4 is bigger IMO. That's when Giannis exploded

He's definitely working on his core body strength, which is great!

Is that grey workout shirt he's got on for sale anywhere? Can't find it on the web.

At first I thought this was a terrible idea but you see how KP is basically living in the gym. Playing in Latvia will help him work on his game in the best simulation possible.

Essentially KP left NYC, "Enough with the distractions" went back to Europe to focus completely on getting better.

IF the Knicks draft Frank, I hope he has that same drive to get better.

That's good, the kid is training hard every day, looking at his recent instagram posts, it looks like he is alrady in an improved shape. Latvia doesn't have a great team, so it's not like they are going to have a deep run. He is young, he needs the workload, this is a good thing.

hopefully his stature as an NBA player gives KP an opportunity to get experience as a leader on this latvian team. he's gotta get ready to be big bro to our rook

Nah, they have a pretty good roster tbh... 2 NBA players, 3 euroleague players and few strong european league players I think they could make the semifinals. The talent is there, last european championships they made the 1/4 finals without KP .
Celtics fan.
We also face the Kings twice in the near future. I think it's time Yabu pays back some of that free money he's been given his entire career and bounces Fox for a nice 2 week ankle sprain.

Yeah, you are probably right, although I'm European, I don't follow national teams that much, only the Euroleague, and even that pales in comparison to the NBA.

I hope there will be two NBA guys..

It will be a shame if SAS doesn't let Bertans play, when he was playing just 10mpg in the regular season, and sat out most of the play-offs.

Ah yes, it's that time of year where we study every player's body from photos and proclaim that they are now ripped.

To be honest, anything less than top 8 would be considered as a disaster in Latvia and something that could easily be achieved without KP. Expectations are high, but to be reasonable, a top 6 place would be adequate. We are a bit lacking at the PG spot (backup). the promising guy we had at that spot has had double knee injuries (like Bertans)

Actually Latvia played in 1/4 final last time and lost to France in a close game (Parker and Gobert killed us late in the 4th). Then we were up by 20 against Greece playing for the 5th place and somehow let it slip away and then also lost the last game after 2 tough losses.

But that was a team without KP, Davis Bertans from Spurs and Anzejs Pasecniks who will be drafted in the 1st round this year (but will most likely be unavailable for that reason). Also Janis Timma (SF, drafted by Grizzlies and then traded to Magic a few years ago) has been getting exponentially better each year and therefore we will have a really good team this year.

Rose went down and Melo wanted to rest against GS. There was no leader to be found within the entire organization.

Gotta say KP looks fantastic in his intagram videos. He is training like a maniac, I think he channeled that frustration into becoming a better player. I also love the fact that his brother is there for him, and he seems like a no-nonsense kind of guy who will simply not let KP getting lazy. I expect him to dominate the European Championships, not necessarily with crazy stats, but just a great, two-way impact. I'm very glad Phil did not trade him, I think next year he will take a giant step, similarly to what Dirk did in his third year.

I think Frank already said he is skipping international play this summer to play in the SL and get to know his new teammates and the system.
