Really, where is the comparative contract? Did any other team give such a nonsense contract this off-season? The f*ck is wrong with the Knicks management? All you had to do was wait out the market and use your cap space to accumulate assets. And then you go and pull this BS? Noah wasn't enough for you guys? Now we have to carry another untradeable contract? WTF?

The Heat gave 162m to Waiters, James Johnson, and Olynyk. Did you see the contract Blake got? Guy can't stay on the floor. Gallo is getting over 20m and can't stay on the floor. The contract is high but let's not spew hyperbole and overreact. People saying THJ is a chucker are just emotional and overreacting. Dislike the contract, but not the player. This is nothing like the Noah deal. He was older, coming off injuries, and lacked the one skill you need in today's NBA.

A basketball team needs basketball players. Tim has a outstanding character and has shown improvement while in Atlanta. I agree on the money being a little too much but if he continues to improve who knows.

A team needs basketball players, but they don't have to overpay for seriously flawed ones.

Also, let's be real, what did Timmy really improve on while in Atlanta?

He's still 1 dimensional. He still doesn't defend. He's still not a great 3 point shooter.

He's going to look worse here too. Atlanta already had a system and foundation set when he got there, and he was able to find a role in it. But we still don't have a new President...we don't even know if Jeff is going to be here past this year or next. Hardaway is not really the type of player you trust in this type of environment. He is probably going to play zero defense, not move the ball or himself, and just chuck up shots to get some numbers. There's really no incentive for him to do much else here after he gets paid.

Johnson had his best year with the Heat in 2016-17, turning in career-high averages of 12.8 points, 4.9 boards, 3.6 assists and 1.0 treys. He only started five games, but he's going to get minutes in the upper 20s again. He's a nice target late in drafts.

Yeah Timmy actually was solid in Atlanta with talks of him improving on both ends (he basically had to on defense lol). I don't like the deal because the number is way too high but I'm not ready to jump off a ledge like some.

I think 10 per should've got it done but he would fit nicely in Hornacek's running style. He went from not playing at all in ATL to one of their key scorers. Not a good deal but I can think of several worse.
