Here's a Q for discussion - can we get any credits for ineligible players? Guys that are basically out of the league?

Players that are not signed to an NBA contract or are not in the sim can be put on your EL and you get an exception to sign another player at whatever that salary is for one year.

Ok, after a crazy 32 total trades, everything I have has been updated. Everyone should always be checking your team pages and the draft order to make sure that everything is correct. Don't forget that you are responsible for your own teams so if you see something wrong or missing, let me know.

I am going to freeze trades from Wednesday until the draft on Saturday so I can get the FA rankings done. The draft will run the same as it did last year. If a team does not make a pick during their draft slot then they will be skipped and the next team up goes on the clock. Any team that has been skipped by three teams will get a player automatically taken for them. That player will be whoever the highest remaining player on nbadraft.net. You are responsible for making sure that you have enough cap space to sign your draft picks. If you don't have the roster space for your draft picks, you will need to waive someone or put your draft pick on the EL until roster space can be created. Any drafted player not signed by the trade deadline will become a FA.

Any questions regarding the draft, let me know.

Do we have to sign 2nd round picks right away even if we have room or can we wait?

If you have the room the player goes on your active roster. They can always be moved to your EL if that player doesn’t sign an IRL NBA contract or if they aren’t in the sim next season.

No, once you release a player they are on your payroll until their contract expires.

And does it apply to a player like Pasecniks who three years later is still not in the NBA. The IRL Sixers will apply to have his cap hold removed if he doesn’t come over this season.
