I didn't start a discussion about the media being at fault for the Knicks/Dolan struggles based on a Kevin Knox video. Someone else did. You probably should talk to them about that.

Thanks man.

You claim to want to talk about basketball. do what you claim.

I've been talking basketball. I always talk basketball. Dolan is part of the basketball discussion since his decisions affect the product you see on the court.

The issue is you don't like what I have to say. That's fair. I still stand by it and I have a right to express my opinion. Someone mentioned the media and the Knicks/Dolan. I didn't bring it up out of nowhere. I gave my piece on that. You don't agree with it. That doesn't mean I'm trolling or making 'hateful rants'. Nothing I've said is hateful. I support the Knicks - not Dolan. And I support the current crop of young players and the head coach.

I'll leave it at that.

Well if Dolan makes all the basketball decisions that affect whats on the court, then you support Dolan. Fine, do you.

I'm only commenting because the dialogue is old and tiresome, it should be for you as well if you want to just talk basketball.

Just have to face the fact that any team owner in any sport is going to have to sign off on the big moves. He/She owns the team. I think most of us here have come to terms with that reality.

I'm not seeing that Dolan has had a hand in sabotaging the work of Perry in acquiring talent, and I'm not hearing that he refused to pay for a healthy player that Perry wanted. Whether Dolan is an idiot or not is not my concern -- if he's got the right people in place to make decisions, that's what we really want. We're about to start the first season where Perry has had a hand in almost all the players, and we'll see how well he's done when the season is in full swing.

The fact that we didn't max offer KD was a good sign. But maybe KD wouldn't have come here no matter what because of Dolan's reputation? I dunno. But I think bringing in some vets like we have could help improve our reputation around the league, so long as we show improvement.

Just had an argument. Who has the better young core?

Knicks or Bulls?

Everybody seems to think Bulls

Bulls for now since Lauri and LaVine are more proven players than our core but I like our potential a lot more

Both of these team's core are stronger than ppl give them credit for, imo.

As far as answering your question, the knicks underwent a roster overhaul.
A couple of their biggest guns haven't played 1 game yet.
Ex. Randle and RJ

Potentially they are similar, rebuilding team's with potential talent 1-5.

I like Otto and think Lauri is legit. LaVine nothing very special but could be a good third guy. Tough call. I’m talking ours in 2 years but Bulls if it’s next year.

Whoever has a future franchise player in their ranks. Could be RJ. Could be Markkanen. Could be Lavine. Could be DSJ. Could be Coby. Maybe none of those guys will ever reach that next level. Either way, it'll take years for us to know the answer to that question.

But as of right now, the Bulls have the better young core and I don't think it's particularly close. Lavine has improved every year since he entered the league and he might be destined for greatness (I'm a believer). I love WCJ's skill set in the modern NBA. Markkanen is already better than KP offensively and all signs point towards him becoming a legit All-Star. Coby seems to have a lot of heart.

It takes one breakout year from a couple of our young guys for us to claim the Bulls' spot though.

I think you're underestimating Lavine. I think he's special.

23.4 points per game on .574 TS% (way above average for a guard) with some all-around stats (4.7 boards and 4.5 assists) is some serious stuff. The defense needs to improve, as does his decision-making from time to time, but he's improved every year so that tells me he's a hard-worker. I think he's for real and potentially a good 2nd guy down the line.

Would say LaVine is their best player. He is at 23 ppg on 52% efg.
Randle is probably in the same tier as player types.

They won 22 games last year. It's close.

STARTERS
PG: Dennis > Cody
SG: Barret << Lavine (Lavine is a reality, Barret is all potential)
SF: Morris = Otto
PF: Randle = Lauri
C: Mitch = Wendell (I think Mitch is better but he needs to play a whole season to show it)

BENCH
Experienced PG: Payton = Satoranski
Disappointing PG: Frank = Dunn
Experienced wing: Ellington/Bullock > none
Young wing: Trier/Dotson/Ignas/Knox >> Arcidiacono/Valentine/Hutchinson
Young Big: Bobby > Kornet/Gafford/Felicio
Experienced Big: Gibson < Thaddeus

Lavine puts Chicago starters ahead. But I think Knicks has more depth and better bench.

Bulls and it’s not close

they had 22 wins to our 17... with our additions and with another year of experience , I wouldn't be surprised if we will prove to have the better young core.
