Actually, Sexton and SGA is not that absurd of an idea.

The point about considering moving SGA is (i) maybe you like Cade a little more and (ii) if you do that you have lower salary issues and .. maybe you can still get in another year of tanking.

On the other hand, if you can swap a small amount of draft capital for Sexton that gives you a

Only one team wins the championship. I get a team should be doing all in it's power to position itself and plan properly for the future, but if the contracts given to Ball and Oubre aren't ret*rded, and same for Sexton a year later, then the Knicks would have a team that is young, talented, still possesses some upside and is...wait for it...actually fun and entertaining to watch.

Then again, with Rose and IQ, not to mention Vildoza, there really isn't minutes for all 3 with RJ. That's 8 players around 3 positions. Unless Oubre plays some PF, which is he any more suited for than RJ at this time? Not really. Again, I'm sure a small ball team could find SOME minutes for either there, but honestly, I don't think too many.

I assume the Knicks FO doesn't give a toss about euros and are just going to **** Vildoza over. He really shouldn't be taken into consideration. Maybe he's the plan B for DRose if DRose becomes a Laker or w/e. Personally, I think Thibs will set DRose free to try to win a ring. And still not want Vildoza. The issue is paying Sexton and SGA. That owner is notoriously cheap and it's a small market. I'm not buying it. They are not at a stage in their process where they should be looking to shell out big bucks in that small of a market without a legit shot to win anything. It's gotta be cap.

Well, Vildoza IS Argentine Austin Rivers, so pretty sure he'll get a little playing time and then get glued to the bench. Then traded.

Oubre I'm really not that interested in. It's mostly a thing about him saying he's actually interested in playing here (I appreciated players who study NBA history and he's clearly studied Grant Hill) and then MAYBE if other things don't work out and Oubre is ballpark to what Bullocks is asking for.

Still, it gets in the way of the supposed "big game hunting" plan for next year, and if the Knicks are going to do that, there are better plan C options other than Oubre, like Fournier or Powell or even Trent Jr. Where plan A and B are the Lillard and Beal fantasies, which aren't happening anyway.
