Re: The Official NY Jets Thread.
I'm a Giants fan, but even I was rooting for the Jets this season. I was really pumped for Rodgers.
I know it's easy to just say "Same old Jets" "Jets are cursed"... The easiest thing the players and coaches could have done was just give up against the Bills and call the season over. Instead, they played their hearts out and beat a contender.
Maybe the coach and Aaron Rodgers will light a fire under Zach Wilson? You never know. The team has come to far to call it quits.
Please avenge the Giants 0-40 opener haha.

It's just crazy that those couple minutes were probably the first and last we'll see of Rodgers in a Jets uniform.

This theory that Rodgers might mentor Wilson is not realistic to me. I see him going home to California to either a) rehab, or b) get a jump on his retirement. I'd be pleasantly surprised if he's on the sidelines the rest of the year.

Yeah, I don't expect him to be on the sidelines being a cheerleader. But he could still be a mentor and encourage Wilson.
Rehab will be a priority. But I don't think he'll just get a jump start on his retirement and quit 100%. I think he already has some emotional investment.

He still drifts out of the pocket. That said, I'm remaining hopeful that Zach will efficiently, if unspectacularly, just manage the game. Ground and pound and defense.

5 wins incoming, just enough to spoil the 1st round pick. Save your time.

What about signing that guy Henning (?) the back up to Mahomes? He's supposed to be decent. We can still make the playoffs with decent and efficient QB play.

I hear the rehab is grueling. Damien Woody retired because the Achilles rehab was too much. Let’s see what Aaron says in a few months.

It's over. Give it up. Recover at least 50 hours of your weekends.

Ha, well I’ve been conditioned over the last 50 YEARS to not give up my Sunday afternoons to NY Jets football. So that won’t be difficult. They could pull me back in if they beat a Dallas. I’ll DVR it.

I have a feeling Aaron Rogers is faking his injury to bring the most out of him

I'm a Giants fan but I'll trade "Danny Dimes" for Zach Wilson in a New York Minute
