You thought you were gonna slip that by us? Plus, I'm not feeling RJ at the 2. I do like Giddy though. I'm just not sure he's a fit on this team.

 i hear you about the fit might not being the best for us, i’m just trying to figure out a trade that brings the knicks a possible young breakout star candidate similar to how indy got haliburton

I feel your pain. We could've had Haliburton. Fcking Leon!

As a backup to Randle only? Sengun’s a center, right?

What about Mitch and iHart? They may be the best center tandem in the league.

Because of the Raptors and Knicks beef, OG is a pipe dream unless it's through free agency.

If you don't like C's with offensive skills, yes

And he also gets that the next best "realistic" target should be Bogdonovic.

Honestly, what we are likely to do is trade Fournier for a longer/worse contract attached to a protected FRP in 2027

I hope not, that last "low hanging fruit" trade for McDermott & Osmon was a big turnoff for me.

I like them both but neither is a star. Sengun will be on a whole other level if he achieves his potential.

small deadline deal: Fournier + 2nd for Gallo + filler

vs.

big deadline deal: IQ + Grimes + iHart + Fournier + pick(s) for Spida Mitchell + filler

I wonder...

Gallo is 35 and where would he get his mins?
I get people want to balance the roster, but the way to do that is to trade either IQ or Grimes for another young 3/4. Otherwise, there is no PT for any additional player.

He can play better defense but he's ok. I don't think he reads the game defensively like a Jokic for instance. He obviously doesn't protect the rim like a Embiid. But he's ok overall I think.

Sengun is young, but even still his defense right now isn't bad which is a big positive. He's never going to be able to protect the rim, but the NBA is moving into a place where you need something on offense from your bigs whether it's spacing, scoring or passing. In his case he does all three, and he has the added bonus of being able to post up mismatches which is how you beat teams that always switch, you punish them for having the nerve to try and defend your big with some skinny 6'8" wing.

We have absolutely no chance of getting him too.
