Need to spend money to make money.

THAT Mr. Paco is what I'm "banking" on!

IF the stock price, for whatever reason, does NOT matter to Dolan, then my entire theory is out the window.

MSG is more than just the Knicks and their annualized net income for the past few years is less than the penalty they would pay to resign Lin.

True, but they already lost money today and the decision wasn't even final yet. I'd assume it would go down even more IF Knicks do decide to let Lin leave.

actually rooting for Brazil today.
The game doesn't matter for the Olympics and the guys need to be humbled. All they're doing is switching off isoing.

you're another minute closer to the decision.

James Dolan should have a televised decision tomorrow from the Boys and Girls Club. He can state if Jeremy Lin is taking his talents to Houston or back to NY!

Yes, but you're forgetting about Cablevision... Dolan's other toy given to him by his father. The Dolan's are worth over $3 billion dollars (Charles is worth $3.3 alone), $50 million in either direction doesn't matter to these guys, especially if it doesn't hurt company stock, which it likely won't.

Not seeing that but I am seeing them settle way too much for threes.

Eh.. i'm sure plenty of the gross is passed through to other parts of MSG. Plus,I'm sure the FMV of the franchise is increased by having Lin around. With that said, I have no clue how much revenue the guy actually generates for the team.

Not surprising to see a D'Antoni coached team chucking threes.

Not really. Berger seems to be saying that the common wisdom around the league is that the Knicks might still match, that the Felton trade might have just been about getting something for Gadzuric and Jeffries, etc. Problem is, could they really trade Felton again? Dolan wouldn't let them.

But he's saying it's all other GM's talking and not anything from the horse's mouth -- the Knicks -- that teams are speculating that the Knicks could still match.

This was all predicted by suicidedeuce, to give credit where it is due.

Meanwhile, the Rockets are trying to see if they can set a pro sports record by losing every game and going 0-82. But nobody sees a problem with that.

The Knicks make boatloads of cash.

Dolan isn't leaving when the team is top 2 with no rings in 40 years.

Yeah... well I would at least like to see Woodson canned.

Until I hear evidence that Melo and Tyson are upset by Lin leaving, it's hard not to feel some pleasure in the idea of finding out the hard way that they needed Lin.

So you're preference is to watch the Knicks lose due to possibly not having Lin?

BTW, what does Tyson have to do with this?
