If he keep up his work ethic he'll worth that contract and more. Dude has every tool to become successful.
I think he can step up and he can exceed the level B.Beal playing at Sg.

i'm excited for tim too. not based off drew league tho. just, he has made some nice strides in ATL. it's like he went to college and came home. not mad at the play.

the more i think about him as a legit starting 2 or 3, the more excited i get. we just need him to care on the defensive end, which i think he takes some pride in now.

Its still nice to see his athleticism, handles and shooting.
He seemed to care to defend at drew league too. Defense is more of a routine, habit. Last year he seemed to embrace defensive duties of his position. He should give constant effort on D.

New York Knicks: Tim Hardaway Jr. training with Dwyane Wadeby Maxwell Ogden 1hr ago

New York Knicks shooting guard Tim Hardaway Jr. will face high expectations in 2017-18. He’s preparing by training with an all-time great: Dwyane Wade.

New York Knicks fans were given a reason for optimism when Kristaps Porzingis accepted an invitation to play in the NBA Africa Game in Johannesburg, South Africa. In the days leading up to the event, Porzingis spent invaluable time training with Dirk Nowitzki.

It turns out that Porzingis isn’t the only promising young Knick who has been spending time with a future Hall of Famer.

The Knicks’ most lucrative signing of the 2017 period of free agency was shooting guard Tim Hardaway Jr. Hardaway Jr. signed a four-year deal worth $71 million, which has many around the NBA pondering if he can justify the star-caliber contract.

In a post to his official Instagram account, future first ballot Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade revealed that he’s training with Hardaway Jr.

That doesn’t guarantee future success, but Wade is as great of a mentor as Hardaway Jr. could possibly find around the NBA.

Wade is a three-time NBA champion, a Finals MVP, an eight-time All-NBA honoree, and a 12-time All-Star. He’s scored more than 21,000 career regular season points, and ranks No. 11 on the NBA’s all-time postseason scoring list.

Known for being a legendary clutch maestro and a fearless slasher, Wade has as much perspective as anyone in the NBA as far as what it takes to win is concerned.

With Carmelo Anthony on the trading block and Hardaway Jr. potentially becoming the Knicks’ primary perimeter scoring option, Wade is the perfect choice of mentor.

Hardaway Jr. was solid in 2016-17, averaging 14.5 points per game and 19.1 points per 36 minutes on a slash line of .455/.357/.766. As he prepares for his second stint with the Knicks, a primary focus has become his need to improve his ability to score in isolation.

Few have ever done it better than Wade, which creates the reasonable hope that Hardaway Jr. will come back with an even more effective game in 2017-18.

The New York Knicks are placing a heavy measure of faith in Tim Hardaway Jr. and Kristaps Porzingis. Both are learning from the greatest active players at their respective positions.

Good article. Wade must know lots that took an entire career to learn. If Timmy can learn some of it, we're going to better for it.

His Dad is a legend with the Heat, so Timmy may have cut his teeth with Wade before this year.

Nevertheless, Wade taking Jr. under his wing is a career blessing for Timmy and may have factored in THJ's growth.
As you said, he and the Knicks are both winners here.
Also if Im correct, you as well as I really like this signing.

Either one can look at Timmy as an overpaid unproven or fron the perspective that he's getting ready to have a breakout season.

You look at it one way and some of us see it differently, millions of ways one can view it.

At the end of the day THJ is a good gamble and I like the odds based on his personal achiements toward the end of last year. Tim Hardaway Jr. got a taste of being unstoppable at times last year and against formidable defensive players.

That's all I'm saying.

I agree you can look at this signing multiple ways..

Bottom line is it isn't that crazy to think if our team loses 40 points a game by not signing Rose and trading Melo that THJ isnt picking up 4-6 more points a game if his rebounds and assist stay the same he would be putting up H20 numbers

Right - we could go to him more is Melo is gone. But he'd get a bunch of Timmy's shots if he's here.

In this dynasty league, where salaries matter and really considering picking up Hardaway at his 16.5 mill dollar price tag. When you look at all the SGs in the league and the money they make, it's not bad. Just gotta see how he does with rebs and ass
