Everybody seems to think Bulls

Bulls and it’s not close

They won 22 games last year. It's close.

I mean i love some of our young guys but i just don’t agree. Lauri’s a future star and Zach Lavine is a 20+ ppg scorer on solid efficiency, more proven than any of our young guys. Wendell Carter is a nice piece with upside and Otto Porter is 26. Not crazy about Coby but I’m not crazy about DSJ either. They went through 2 coaches last year and don’t have a roster that is balanced or meshes well but I don’t necessarily think that takes away from their young talent

Btw If we had either Zach or Lauri we’d be going nuts over them, and rightfully so. Ours could surpass them in a few years but for now I don’t see it

Lauri and Lavine are some nice pieces. I like both of them. Still rather early to proclaim who has the better core.

Some players grow in the NBA game faster than the others while some players reach a sort of epiphany or breakout a couple of yesrs after being drafted. We will all just have to wait and see.

Exactly what I said he and Morris will bring to the team. That’s why you bring in legit veterans that know how to win and want to be here. They’ll make the young guns better and change the culture!

It is necessary. And it works. Lots of fear mongering going on with a few cats earlier about the vets consuming all of the minutes, but if you look at the comments hitting the wire week by week you consistently see these kinds of details being shared by the guys they signed. They know they are here to lead and mentor and to play part-time minutes.

Randle will play full-time

The only major wild card is Morris depending on the level he brings. If he plays like a star then it still pushes players like Knox to excel.

But the rest of them know their role so it's all good AFAIK.

There's a solid group on this squad that has everybody on notice that they're serious about this $#!t, and it's only August! These dudes are working this offseason OUT!! DSJr, Morris, Randle, Elfrid, Ellington. I salute them

Hell, Frank been working the offseason too.

Bulls core is better. But I think we might even have a better management team/owner than they do. Very weird to say. Hopefully the Knicks catch up this year.

Def CHI. We'll see in a few years. Comes down to RBJ for pretty much everything related to how high our ceiling is (as of now).

Lauri vs Randle
WCJ vs Mitch
Otto vs Knox
Lavine vs RBJ
White vs DSJ

Duncd on grade for our offseason Leroux F Duncan F+

They love the Iggy pick and that we moved up to get him
They think Randle is productive and efficient so he's a solid signing
Keeping cap space available for 20/21 was obviously smarter than signing middling role players to longer deals

They are not fans of the RBJ pick
They are not fans of signing a bunch of guys who limit the opportunity for the kids
They are not fans of overpaying guys like Portis when we could have used that space to get a pick

Pretty much everything a lot of ppl are saying (except for the RBJ part, I don't get that).

I guess I'm being a homer but I still think I'd take our core. In fact given the matchups you've presented here and given the opportunity to swap players I'd keep our guys all 5 times. I wouldn't trade Mitch for anybody on their team straight up

An F grade to me is just hating to fit in with the rest of the crowd. The only way the Knicks should have gotten a failure grade was them maxing out their cap space for the next four years on players who won't move the needle much to contend. Or trading those future assets for short term and questionable gain. And we did not do that.

Sure, we could have used the cap to get players in exchange for draft picks, but if we did that, then you give the team an A grade. And since they did not do that as well, a C grade is what I think they deserve. They didn't screw up nor did they create a disaster nor did they hit a homerun.

It was just an average offseason.

Its August. We honestly havent really done anything to deserve respect yet. But if this team reaches its full potential THEN we will gain respect. This the social media era we living in. The narrative can change in a matter of seconds.

Remember when Kings traded Cousins? Everybody were acting like they were failures. It was same treatment we got for trading KP. Now look what happened with Cousins. Kings look like geniuses now.
