If any of these guys the Knicks traded tonight become stars in this league, some members of this forum will jump off of buildings...

Pick 33 too. Get at least 2 seconds for that one.

Hired a defensive minded coach a few months before drafting one of the worst defensive players in the lottery.

Some people on Twitter are saying we got a 2nd from La and Detroit.

So the biggest take away from this draft are who are we trading Randle for, what’s your preference paying Westbrook or FVV max, and we drafted a player we wanted that we thankfully didn’t have to trade up for

2023 is now the projected double draft, right?
If so, that's a really nice, forward thinking move. Especially since I think it's DET's pick.

Maybe an appreciation thread?

Mitchell Robinson was a second round pick

trade down from 23 to 25 and miss out on RJ Hampton, one of the few players w/ big upside to pick up to get pick 33
then at pick 25 take a Quickley who could've probably been had at 33 and then trade pick 33 for a 2023 2nd rounder....
could've had: Obi, Bane, and Quickley instead they just have 2....I just dont understand
I think they tried to trade up.. the back up plan seemed to be to snag Maxey at 23. Once he was gone they just took Calipari's second recommendation Quickley. After that they didn't care. Looks like it.

I doubt it. If they really liked him they would have taken him at 23 and it's clear that they didn't even want to use the 33rd pick anyway

Re: Draft Night Part Deux - Knicks with Picks 25 and 33
They obviously wanted someone at 33 that didn’t fall so decided to trade away the pick
What’s also possible, they wanted Hampton at 25 and Quickley at 33, got too cute and lost out on Hampton so took Quickley early then gave up 33

Really not a big deal
We will probably sign somebody to a 2 way from the undrafted pool to get us all hyped and distracted. Jay Scrubb possibly

Knicks went with the best player available at 8 did a few trades and got what they wanted they were pretty solid but what scares me is what coming next in trades and free agency
