Mills hired some PR guy who did that and a whole lot of other cringe-worthy stuff. I don't know if Leon let him go, but it's clear that new people are doing this, and a lot of it is really good. also, they use higher quality video feeds than a lot of the blogger sites do, and they have pro announcers. All in all, everyhting is looking up lately!

That's the guy. Has he done anything we have seen that was really good or helpful? He seemed to fly under the radar, except when he screwed up.

Think he clearly orchestrated the collabs with Kith and Dipset. He's likely behind the change of direction in terms of social media. I don't recall the Knicks playing any Mobb Deep during the games before. The devil is in the details.

if there's one thing that randle doesn't always handle great yet is when those fast traps come when he's in the middle of making a move. so we'll probably see them try that.

One thing that the Knicks really have to watch for is the way Young can get cheap fouls and early into the bonus so can dramatically alter the game.

Obviously early bonus means FTs for every foul so gives them the easiest shots they will get against a tough defense. Secondly it means the Knicks won't be able to play as aggressively on defense late in the game because of foul trouble as well as FTs.

So even Elf using fouls in an attempt to disrupt Young early has negative consequences for the team after he's on the bench sulking in the furthest chair not cheering on his teammates.

It's a funny name, but I didn't know he made it for you. I figured it out, tho. I think we should bury the hatchet and devote our time here to enjoying what we've never had before - a playoff team that came out of the cesspool and is now respectable. I'll still hate Payton and what he does to this team, but if Thibs can pull off victories using him to start, I'm fine with that.

Let's enjoy this long overdue opportunity to enjoy the playoffs - hope you're good with that. OK?

Thibs would def be way outside his comfort zone if he removed Elf. But I agree with the excellent post by Iron Mantis that he's trying to have it both ways. He's trying to both respect Elf and also limit his damage. It's not a sensible thing to do, but Thibs gets a lot of leeway and has been able to actually make this work somehow.

I think the main difference in this back and forth is that people have different definitions of what Frank "stinking it up real bad" means

If he's playing good defense, but bricking every shot, I think Thibs will still leave him out there for 10 mins if the situation calls for it.

He just needs to take the shots the defense gives him if they are using him as the release valve for the defensive pressure.

Yeah, that might be it. I will take Frank going 1 for 4 in 10min or whatever if he is playing great defense and slowing down Trae. Think everyone can agree there has been times Frank has hesitated and we will need Frank to at least take those open shots.

teams have advanced stats as well. They know frank is in the 90% percentile in C&S 3's. So at minimum he wont be guarded like Payton out there. Teams just don't leave him wide open like they do Payton.

If he's out there with Rose/RJ/Randle or Burks/RJ/Randle

hopefully you can just park him in the corner and he can hit the occasional 3 when the defense collapses. The one thing at least we dont have to worry about is Frank driving recklessly to the basket like Payton and getting blocked and starting a fast break...because Frank doesn't drive to the basket

They also know he's only hit 23 3s. Frank might be able to shoot teams into defending him, but they don't respect his shot when he checks in. His guy is often helping in the paint.
