Why wouldn't the Thunder just trade SGA to the Cavs for the 3rd pick then?

They turned that down (SGA and 6 for #3).... But then we offer it or as a big 3 team trade. They get rid of Love and get both RJ and Obi who they like alot.

Could you expand that to say a base of RJ and Randle for Siakam and 4? Rumor is that they are shopping Siakam lately. Obviously some other pieces or picks thrown in from one side or the other to make it work.

There are lots of dumb people who keeps insinuating that RJ and Obi be included in deals. The problem is it’s not just RJ or Obi. IQ and Knox will not be included in any trade as well. They will keep the core along with Randle.

However Mitch’s personality is a little questionable to the team. “Tough to read”.

So a s&T of Bullock (w/clippers that’s where you hear the shamet rumor btw) or Burks or someone else comes into the picture.

I was 100% sure Rose would be back before and now I am at 75% confidence level though.

IMO the SGA trade talk was about them wanting a top 3 pick (maybe a top 4 pick) if they can't get that guy, then they may as well start cashing in. Sexton-SGA is a nice back court. They sure as hell ain't giving up 6, so you add that to Kuminga (ideally Barnes) Kenrich Williams and then they can sign Holmes, Noel etc

Funniest part of trading up to 2, 3 or 4 would be the moment it becomes clear to fans that the pick is getting immediately flipped for Dame.

The 2nd offer from OKC to CLE which was apparently was turned down was SGA AND 6 for 3. Apparently many consider this a 3 or 4 man draft then a big drop to the next tier. Going from Superstar to potential stars.

SGA is on a sooner timeline to get paid, Sexton is on a sooner timeline to get paid and redundant to Garland whom Cavs like more. Economics certainly play a role for some owners/markets/teams.

If we aquire 3 we can likely get SGA and 6. We could give:

RJ, Obi, Knox, Noel (S&T) and pick 21, 2023 Dal 1st to Cleveland for Sexton, 3, Prince(salary dump)

Then give 3 to OKC for SGA and 6

Then give Sexton, Pick 6, Pick 19, 2023 NYR 1st, 2022 right to swap to POR for Lillard.

Then sign Derozan (if he can fit under cap) or Oubre

How are UFA or RFA players put into trades in the draft when FA is two days after the draft?

Not being critical, I see this come up all the time and is curious how it works.
Does RFA work because the team still has "rights"?
I get this stuff can be worked out between the two teams, player, agent, but was wondering about the logistics, particularly UFA - unless no one is speculating them into deals.
