All I know is that having Ingram would be better than going all in on Mikal and KAT.

It's not just because they're cheaper, it's because they can play with Zion. The Pelicans would rather have Dejounte Murray as a ball handler than Ingram, and those two guys can play off the ball within a system, to this point Ingram has never shown that he can do that. It's never a good sign when a guy can only play well when he's the center of the offense.

And there's no way to know if we would have been better with him instead, what we do know is that his team seems content with letting him walk for nothing if it comes to that.

They were trying to move Ingram before they got Murray. It's mainly because they don't want to pay him. When Ingram and Zion played together they were like top 5 in the west I think.

I still rather have him over Mikal by far. He destroyed him in the playoffs.

They want to move him because he does not play at his best with Zion, they got Murray to help the offense and get Trey/Jones involved, because Ingram doesn't really do that. He's a ball stopper that gets assists simply because he has the ball a lot, and he inexplicably has more touches with the ball than Zion. In the time they've been together he's averaged more touches per game in all but 1 season, that is just crazy.

When Ingram and Zion play together, he drops down to 22ppg, which for a scoring wing isn't someone you want to give max money to. Especially not when he wants the ball more than your franchise player and is a reluctant 3 point shooter, the Pelican fans complain about him passing up threes like we do Hart. You may want Ingram, but so far it doesn't seem like anyone is beating down the Pelicans door to get him, we know for certain that teams were offering 4 first round picks for Mikal when the Nets got him and we gave up even more. As for the playoffs, Mikal was a 4th option and still managed to average 17ppg in that series guarded by Ingram on 55% and 53% from three.

That game was a message game. Signed, sealed, and delievered. Boston also isn't shooting 60% from 3.

Right ....not making any excuses, cuz we arent anywhere near a cohesive unit yet but....we do have the personnel to do to another team what Boston did to us.... And now with that debacle out of the way the team knows it have to improve and hopefully we take it out on the competition.

NBA Fans Slam Julius Randle's Performance In Timberwolves-Lakers Game

Image

n Tuesday evening, Julius Randle made his debut for the Minnesota Timberwolves when they faced off against the Los Angeles Lakers in California.

The All-Star forward had 16 points, nine rebounds and four assists while shooting 5/10 from the field and 1/3 from the three-point range in 34 minutes.

However, the Timberwolves lost by a score of 110-103.

Despite Randle having a sold stat line, many NBA fans reacted negatively to his performance against the Lakers.

Via Kevin O'Connor: "Julius Randle's performance is a good reason why +/- can be so deceiving. Felt like he brought zero/negative effort. SVG rightfully called it out on the broadcast. Yet somehow he was the only starter that had a positive +/-"

Read on Twitter

Via Andy Bailey: "Julius Randle plays like the rec league guys who can't go around people anymore"

Read on Twitter

Via @meyerNBA: "Julius Randle not boxing out and lightly jogging in transition isn’t the greatest first look as far as first looks go."

Read on Twitter

Via Jason Timpf: "Just one game, so nothing to overreact to, to the Julius Randle lowlight film from last night isn't pretty..

Via @bryant_gotgame: "The Wolves really dumped KAT for Julius Randle lmaooo. Like what a downgrade. "

Via @SalCali5: "His body language was awful already..I wish best luck yall"

look at how much us knicks fans protected this guy

funny how, the moment he was traded, they started ranking him higher, saying wolves won the trade, etc.

then reality after 1 game hits.

randle will come to regret leaving ny, bc he had a coach, fans and teammates that protected him.

fans chanting MVP MVP for years, and even after brunson became a star they still gave him MVP chants for his son and wife at the game.

celebs non stop the last 2 years saying "none of this is possible without randle coming here"

gets traded..

"well we wanted to leave...."

Yes, I hope this was an early wake up call on NY's expectations.

They've only hit eleven 3 pointers in the whole game so far and are still up by 20+ but nearly hit 11 by the end of the first quarter against the Knicks.

Boston is up 32 in the 4th quarter it doesn’t seem that competitive to me. We only lost by 23!

Maybe we should have just signed Klay on a budget instead of 5 firsts for Mikal

Kinda wild that working out with Reddick ruined Grimes and he stopped being a good role player. Seems like we’re so far from him playing 48 mins against the heat cuz we needed the spacing he provided.

Klay isn’t good anymore.

He’ll have some decent nights mostly by virtue of being next to Luka, but he’s pretty much done
