What would they offer? Aminu, Gordon Jordan and a pick? Or two of them and a pick? Might be a good deal for them, not sure how good Clippers would be but i'd be a brighter future for Melo than staying in Denver imo.

I could see him being intrigued. Blake is special, but there is a similar player over there in NYC who is also special. There is also all the baggage that comes with playing on the Clippers he'd have to consider.

Not sure if Anthony would want to play long term for Sterling. If it wasn't for him the Clippers would probably be taken more seriously. Sounds like its you guys' team or bust for him, if he was traded to a contender (LA, Boston, Miami, Chicago, maybe Dallas) he would probably cave in and extend but they don't have the pieces to get him.

If I'm the Denver GM, I almost certainly play it out and call Melo's bluff. Unless I get a trade offer I can't refuse, why would I deal him when there'll be so much pressure on him to re-sign in late June?
Do I really need Gallinari? No. I need the chance to re-sign Carmelo.
Because recent history is the best indicator of immediate future. Melo has so far stood quite firm on not re-signing and he doesn't seem too conflicted about it either. If he was ready to sell out and go somewhere he didn't love (Nyets) or stay where he didn't want to (Nugz), then we would have seen signs of that by now. He blew off the Nets meeting. If he was worried about that extension, he'd have at least met with the Lanky Russian.
When June comes, he'll be that close to free agency, and there may be more clarity on the CBA too.
So I can't see your assertion that it's a no-brainer for Denver to wait it out. There is ample evidence of the opposite and little evidence to support the idea that Melo feels so much pressure to sign.

Melo is not going to the Clippers to be second fiddle to Kobe and the Lakers. He made a comment that supports it to. I'll look for it...

I would hope not. It's like going to the Nets. The Clippers are Nets West (but with a more promising future with BLake).

Re: [Camelo Thread Part 12] - Maybe its time
*For those that don't have access to the newsday website
Anthony Randolph's most significant contribution to the Knicks this season might come in the next few weeks, as a chip in a trade for Carmelo Anthony .
Initially it was believed that Randolph would be used to acquire a first-round pick, which teams such as the Pacers, Trail Blazers and Timberwolves were willing to offer for the 21-year-old forward. The Knicks could then flip that pick to the Denver Nuggets , who are seeking multiple first-round picks as part of a package for their superstar.
But Randolph might not get moved for a pick after all; a person with knowledge of the Nuggets' thinking told Newsday that they might ask that he be included in the negotiations.
The source also said the Nuggets don't hold rookie Landry Fields in high regard, which would come as some relief to the Knicks, who are hesitant to give up too much of their young talent. According to a report by ESPN Radio last week, the Knicks initially offered Fields and Wilson Chandler along with Eddy Curry and a first-round pick, which, as expected, was turned down by the Nuggets.
The Knicks likely will have to sweeten the pot. Randolph, who has played sparingly under Mike D'Antoni , could be one name added to the package.
Donnie Walsh , who before last night's game against the Wizards spoke in generalities about trades - not specifically about Anthony - said there are no untouchables.
"I'm not going to make a statement on something like that," he said. "I don't know, there are very few players you'd say, offhand, I will never trade this guy. I didn't say that about Reggie Miller ."
It's pretty clear, however, that Amar'e Stoudemire won't be on the block.

This works with my plan of giving them Randolph and our 2014 pick. Put Walker and Gallo in there and call it a day.

I think they (the Nuggets) may have a backup plan for him (and some of our Pieces). Shipping them to elsewhere for a bigger package or to unload Salary.

I think if we had a different coach you would see the true potential of Gallo and you wouldn't want to include him in a trade.

Your plan isn't even feasible seeing as how we can't trade our 2014 pick. This has been gone over numerous times and continues to be neglected. Our first available 1st Round pick to deal as of right now is in the year 2017.

Donald Sterling is a terrible owner...He's not exactly know to pay players either...He's also been called a racist and taunts his own players from the sidelines like Baron Davis
He's always been known as a cheap owner so why the hell would Melo go there? You think Sterling is now all of a sudden going to pay Melo and Blake too??? And surround them with who after that?
Why the hell would Melo go there and play for that owner? No one wants to play for Sterling and he's never shown that he's willing to ante up
