That is how I am reading the situation... like in baseball when your closer gets hurt, you go to a "Closer by committee" using numerous other relief pitchers. Instead of signing one of the scrub SGs we can afford, we go to a 2nd SG by committee using two of our three point guards.

Would seem like a big coincidence that the Felton news came an hour after we decided not to match Fields.

Al Iannazzone: Knicks might seek Lin alternative in Raymond Felton: LAS VEGAS -- The Knicks may have found a cheaper and m... http://bit.ly/NoVqqE #nba 1 minute ago

Jared Zwerling: If this comes down to $ issues, I'll be surprised. Felton has more experience & played w/ Amare but NYK has Kidd now. Lin/Kidd tandem solid. 2 minutes ago

meh... I kind of thought we needed Jeffries back.. he was our only flopper. But Felton for that package to back Lin up is a good move.

If Grunwald's MIA-act today was to nab Felton, last decent PG on market, who HOU'd need, sans Lin, then #Knicks GM is straight-up ruthless.

Take Morey's heart Grunwald!

Things are reaching a place where the min will be what is available, and you do take best options off the market, if it helps your team, and hurts others. As of now, if Lin had a more reasonable deal, it would of been possible Fields would of been brought back, and the Rockets would of gotten Felton. But, Dominoes fall, and things happen.

Who cares about Jeffries, could never depend on him for anything except taking charges.

Knicks just screwed Houston over, good on you guys. Lin was good for marketing, not playing at that price.

And people on this board criticized me for believing this would happen. Told ya Lin doesn't command respect in locker room outside Jefferies. Stars did not like Linsanity.

Felton is 6'1" ... maybe Kidd who is 6'4'' at the SG but Felton is kind of small for SG.

Still, that would make for some slow defense.

Felton can't play 2, also Woodson use a 8man rotation type, there is no minutes for 4 guards.

With Shumpert injury we'll be like,

Felton-Prigioni
Kidd-Smith
Anthony-Novak
Stoudemire-Novak
Chandler-Camby

Then, Shumpert will step up as a starter, and that's all
