This deal makes sense for both sides. KP is a win now piece that is cost controlled and fills the teams biggest weakness.
I want #3, BK 2018, and one of Brown / Crowder / Smart. I think we're getting greedy asking for 2 of them but I like the aggressiveness. I'm team Phil all the way with this. I knew exactly what he's trying to do. We need 3 pieces more so then 1.
Maybe it works out, maybe it doesn't. Most likely Ainge pulls the rug out from under Phil at the last minute with some protections or taking some stuff out of the deal and we are going to get screwed.
Its ridiculous to even contemplate trading KP...Keep him and build around him.
My perspective is if you can get a kings ransom for him you do it. We are 3-4 years away from even being competitive. Trading KP for 3-4 assets helps build us a core.

Bro, what if Boston offered us the 3rd pick, traded for the 7th and offered that to us, and we kept our 8th? That's 3 top 10 picks in this draft. How would u feel about that?

Oh sh*t, what if it's the 3rd pick, Brown, and the 7th while we keep our 8th?

That's a Hershell Walker kind of trade.
Knicks can take: Josh Jackson, Fox, and Isaac...the SF, PF and PG of the future for just ONE guy.

2019 first round draft pick from Philadelphia or Sacramento
If Philadelphia conveys the L.A. Lakers' 2018 1st round pick to Boston, then Sacramento's 2019 1st round pick to Philadelphia; if Philadelphia does not convey the L.A. Lakers' 2018 1st round pick to Boston, then Boston will instead receive the more favorable of Philadelphia's 2019 1st round pick protected for selection 1 and Sacramento's 2019 1st round pick protected for selection 1 and Philadelphia will receive the less favorable or protected of these two picks [L.A. Lakers-Phoenix, 7/11/2012; Milwaukee-Philadelphia-Phoenix, 2/19/2015; Philadelphia-Sacramento, 7/9/2015; Boston-Philadelphia, 6/19/2017]; this pick conveyance is included in "2018 first round draft pick from L.A. Lakers" on Boston Incoming

None of those guys are better than KP. Only one with "star" potential there is Jackson, and his potential is less than KP's

Except its highly unlikely that any of those prospects will ever become as good as KP. The Knicks should just build around him. Value wise its there if Phil can get Ainge to give up all of his best assets (which would include the Brooklyn picks and the Kings/Sixers pick), but you're better off with KP.

Id rather get the BKN pick. 3 lottery picks in 1 year is too much. They will all become restricted free agents at the same time and we may be forced to undersell down the line.

Its like winning the lottery and then using all the money to buy more lottery tickets. No thank you.
