need a PG who can shoot too but I think the Payton signing decreases those chances

burks and noel make $5 mm (i know burks makes 1 more)...but point remains we couldn't trade guys like Portis last year because no one could take 15 into there space.

these other deals will be easier to move into space to find an expiring in return. Maybe steal a couple extra 2nd rounders at deadline. With the shorten quick season there will be injuries.

I have to say, it sure seems like this FO doesn't trust Mitch.

Maybe they know he's been slacking during the past 9 months. Or not taking training seriously.

These are things we don't know, and that could help explain why the FO drafted another big in the lottery and signed a back-up C before addressing our biggest needs.

Or our FO is completely inept.

Would make sense if they were committed to having the 5 for rim protection & rim running all 48

How do the Knicks improve their offense? By playing better defense and getting some easy buckets. How do they do this? By using their young legs and pressing. Why will this work?
1. Knicks have a lot of young legs
2. They may be bad but they have a lot of guys who know they'll have to hustle/play D or Thibs won't play them
3. They'll get some easy buckets off of steals
4. They have a few shotblockers (Mitch and Nerlens)
5. Remember, even if they don't get that many steals leading to transition buckets, the press will help because it will shorten the 24 second clock for the opponent.

Yeah right now we are in a great position for next year. We haven’t done anything to **** it up. It’s tedious and it sucks for this FA but we are going in the right direction. Just need a damn PG

I think they could have gone with Wooten in the Noel role, but Noel has proven to the NBA that he can actually do it, so that matters, and may matter if a deal with him it is possible at some point.

in this class though I want to be prepped to not fall too far down since its top heavy. I don't know if its overly deep but I don't want to drop out of the range where we can't trade up using our pick + DAL pick.

the payton signing still is clueless especially if he is anything more than a 3rd stringer.

Cade or BJ Boston to the Knicks is about as a lock as Trevor Lawerence or Justin Fields to the Jets is.

This has come up a few times over the past few seasons Rick Pitino, but the Knicks just won't do it.
