Thinking about it, I'm not sure there's been a single transaction in the Leon era that received a universal initial reaction of anything above "lukewarm".

Everything from drafting Quickley, to signing Brunson, to trading for Hart, to signing Donte & iHart, to acquiring OG & Bridges. All of it was met with something on the spectrum from LOLKNICKS to "meh" to "I see it but it's still highly questionable", but never anything above that. While some of us may have had strong positive opinions on these moves, I don't think Leon has had a single general consensus slam dunk home run type of transaction in his time here.

EDIT: Actually, I think the McBride contact might be one.

Though drafting Mcbride was a lukewarm response. You are right, but to his credit, ignoring the fans and the media is one of the reasons we are not as dysfunctional. Now, even if you don't agree with the move he makes all the fans outside of cartoonish haters will atleast quiet down after a day or two and give him the benefit of seeing where it goes.

begrudging respect is the best they can hope for until they win a championship, then the fanbase will immediately be willing to fight for their honor. Its a New York thing, until you win we can only sort of respect you.

Oh how cute...some Wolves media heads think Randle will play defense. They translate 'toughness' into playing defense...haha, they will learn.

Randle is the toughest player in the league with the ball in his hands but we have to stress 'with the ball in his hands' part of it. I've never seen a player have such a wide spectrum of energy and 'toughness' from ball in his hands to the other end of the court. His defensive zombie mode is absolutely mind boggling for someone with his athletic gifts.

Talk all you want about KAT's defensive ability, sure, but from what I have seen he tries on defense, Randle doesn't except for rare instances. Who knows why he chooses those rare moments to actually try but it's so rare I actually notice it when he does as the anomaly that it is.

If Randle goes to Minnesota and finally tries all the time on defense, it's even more disrespectful to the Knicks organization, his former teammates and the fans who bleed blue and orange. He could have tried all along but chose not to until he gets traded away? Wow...ok. bye guy.

Randle can opt out of his contract at the end of the season. You might see a version of Randle defensively that you have not seen in years especially with this new CBA.

There is a very good chance he gets traded to Houston or Detroit, or another team with young prospects looking for more star. The Wolves need guys on rookie cost control deals, and both those teams can use a PF who can also potentially be a lead scorer. Lowkey Randle only spent a few weeks playing on a team that his teammates weren't young guys looking to him for leadership and they all rave about him.

Its crazy how this entire team is almost different than it was last season, let alone two seasons ago.

I was messing around on the trade machine before basically the only way to get Murphy is if they add like 6 million in salary to him cuz then they go over the first apron with Mitch’s contract. Don’t think their be willing to give us Murphy, Jordan Hawkins, plus a minimum salary to make that work. We wouldn’t have that issue with herb jones cuz he makes like 12 million.

Seriously. This energy around here is insane. I said it in another post that it is more nerve wracking watching this team on the rise than it was rooting for losses and knowing nothing was ever gonna work out.
