We are the delusional ones, not bulls fans remember? Just go to the General Board...haters all over. Especially this douche named "biggestbullsfan". I really want to see what they do if we actually land Lebron.
To continue their delusion if/when we land LeBron, they would come on our boards and try to convince themselves its a bad move. They would say stuff like "Whatever we didn't really want him anyway" "You guys don't have a good cast to surround him with, good luck with 1st round of playoffs" etc just to make themselves feel better.
I won't be surprised if you guys do the same thing...

Bulls fans think that Toronto will take Taj Gibson, James Johnon, a trade exception maybe, and picks for Bosh. The Toronto media has spoken highly of Taj and their fans are starting to warm to the idea of taking him.

They might but then you don't have another Max spot.

The Bulls can sign someone at a max contract and then sign and trade someone for another max contract.

That works if you don't sign another max, but the delusional crap that I have read on this board and others is that Bosh+Bron is real possibility. It's not going to happen.
I'm no capologist but I'm pretty sure in order to sign LeBron and Bosh, one of Hinrich or Deng will have to go. Chicago has no leverage in a sign and trade with Toronto if Bosh is the second max, because Colangelo is not going to take back garbage contracts (Hinrich/ Deng) just to appease Chris Bosh and allow him to go to the Bulls. They are going to want to rebuild and free some cap, not take garbage contracts back esepcially when they 13 mil tied up in the PG position and 10 mil tied up in Hedo for multiple years. Bulls can't offer a huge TPE (like we can) that's big enough to allow the trade go through and Colangelo knows Bosh is not going to sign for whatever the Bulls have leftover in cap space so he will have no fear of losing him for nothing to Chicago. Bulls have NO leverage regarding a second max player.

But not with Taj, James Johnson and a pick. You'd have to trade Deng with that package and there's a low chance the Raptors will take that contract, even if you added Noah.

lmao, desperation is kicking in.
"LeBron James, Akron's greatest export this side of rubber tires, is being honored with an event in his hometown.
The NBA's two-time MVP will be recognized on June 19 at "LeBron Appreciation Day" in the University of Akron's InfoCision Stadium. The celebration is aimed at convincing James to re-sign with the Cavaliers in July, when he is eligible to become a free agent.
Akron community and civic leaders, including Mayor Don Plusquellic, are scheduled to participate in the free event for James with a goal "to bring together as many people as possible to send a unified message of support to our hometown hero LeBron James."
It is not yet known if James will attend.
The 25-year-old James will hold his annual bike-a-thon in Akron in August."

I wonder if they'll bring in state leaders and sing "Please stay LeBron"

Bulls can include Hinrich and then will have enough for a max contract.
Hinrich will make $9M then $8M in his final two years. He's a good player who has been playing out of position.
Hinrich, Taj -- a good prospect, Johnson and 17th pick is more than enough considering the history of sign/trades.
If Bosh chooses the Bulls, the Bulls will have zero trouble getting both he and cap for Lebron.

"He should not play in Chicago. He will always compete with Michael Jordan," Falk said. "He should not play in L.A. He will always compete with Kobe Bryant.
"LeBron needs his own identity. The worst place in the world for LeBron to go is Chicago. If he doesn't win six championships, he is a failure. If he doesn't win the MVP five times, he is a failure. Every night he walks into the building he will walk past the statue of Michael Jordan. LeBron is too big. He should not have to play in the shadow of Michael Jordan."

So a superstar should never ever go to a team with a big shadow? How about Oneal going to LA?
Chicago will whisper that Lebron ain't Jordan but the rest of the world wouldn't care as long as he's got rings. And Chicago is the best destination for that.
Someone tell me where Lebron can go and not ultimately be compared to MJ?

Your'e still a couple million short of a max contact with that package. And why would the Raptors take Hinrich when they have Calderon? They are going to pay $18 million to another point guard when they have tons of money committed to Calderon?
They are going to pay $18 million to Hinrich just so they can get Taj Gibson and James Johnson? And they're trading their best player and taking crap in the process? It's not happening.
But the real reason the Bulls will never S&T for Bosh is that the Knicks can beat their offer if need be.
If Lee agrees to go to Toronto, it's over.
If not, we will take back Calderon or even Hedo if we have to block you and it means LeBron + Bosh for us and keeping those two from the Bulls. We can include Eddy Curry and take either of those contracts from the Raptors. Yes we will.
There's really no chess pieces that the Bulls have to beat the Knicks' offer. Noah is not going to be enough IMO because he is only under contract one more year and he's not so valuable that someone will take a bad contract for him, especially while trading Bosh. Again, I doubt they swallow even Hinrich unless they're dumping Calderon.
But truthfully, this Bosh S&T is overstated anyway. If he wants the Knicks, there's just as good a chance that he'll just sign with the Knicks and have an opt-out after 3 to re-negotiate. No big deal.

No, the Bulls aren't short. Hinrich, Johnson, Taj and the pick is more than enough to allow max cap space. Look it up.
You overstate Hinrich's contract so badly it's ridiculous.
He's on a descending contract with two years left. He's always been a very good starting PG who has been playing SG. The Lakers wanted him last trading deadline and another playoff team will gladly take him off Toronto's hands if they don't want to keep him next year.
And you keep writing $18 million (actually $17 million) as if he's not a nice expiring contract one year from now. Nice try there.
Look at the history of sign and trades. The Bulls offer is way more than the typical deal. In the end, it's going to be Bosh who makes the decision with Toronto getting whatever they can. That's why in sign/trades the team giving up the best player always gets screwed. Toronto has almost zero leverage.
I'm just showing you if Bosh wants to play with Lebron, he can go to Chicago and also play with Rose and Noah. NY can't beat that.
The question is: why would Bosh want to go to NY when he can go to Chicago and also play with Rose and Noah?

You're being unrealistic.
Just letting Bosh walk for nothing is better than Taj Gibson, James Johnson (who is terrible by the way), a bad contract and a bad pick.
You can buy a bad pick and buy another late pick to get a guy as good as Taj Gibson. You can get both picks for about $6M. Why pay $18M to get that when you can just pay $6M to get the same talent? And you don't have to lose the cap room that comes with taking Kirk's bad contract.
You're being unrealistic.
