Can someone tell me what Phil has done to earn the blind trust of every Knick fan?

I think he is going to go great here, but seriously it is almost pathetic how some of you praise his every word like he is some basketball guru.

Kobe,Melo,Gasol is better than Calderon,Melo,Amare and whichever team he goes to all the veteran minimum big name guys will follow.

You seem to forget the lakers are in this thing called the western conference and they would be maybe the 9th best team there?

And who the heck is their coach anyway? Wrong coach can lead a decent team to disaster; ask Woody.

You can build a really good team overnight in 2015.

getting free agents is really hard kg. you fight with other teams for them. what will the knicks have to offer to free agents ? phil jackson ? that's not gonna mean much when we're a worse team then the one they're leaving and the money is the same everywhere. no, we're gonna suck.

Melo's lawyers and dogs arrive in Chicago today. His real estate agent has already picked out his South Side condo. Press conference at MSG for new 5-year deal with Knicks by Friday.

But seriously, it's a highly successful basketball mind and Dolan theoretically has no input.

the worst part is that we won't even tank properly next year without melo. we'll play well enough to f*ck up the draft and not well enough to make the playoffs.

He's the quintessential basketball guru. It'd be his picture next to the dictionary definition.

So at this point if it comes to a S/T with the Bulls...what's the minimum you guys accept? I see him staying but just in case....

Mirotic + 2015 1st + 2017 1st + Sac pick?

I think he stays in NYC for sure still honestly.

I also think Melo is hung up knowing the Knicks won't be able to contend next year. He's probably willing to trust Phil w/ building this team quickly, especially in the 2015 summer. I just think he is having a lot of second thoughts about going through another possibly tough year next season.

When this is all over, whatever he does, I will be so thankful. I know how much of a toll this takes on me as a Bulls fan. I cant imagine how hard it is on most of you since it's a Knicks player.

Still this is his first time being a GM. This #InPhilWeTrust and PMFJB stuff is getting old real fast.

And I love every move he has made so far

Yeah no. Every good thing is done according to him. That'd be nice. No more parking rules or meters too. Park wherever you like in the city. Done.

I think he's lying just to get a kick. So we're getting Lebron, melo, gasol, and everyone else here...don't bother posting his stuff.

But what do the Lakers offer him? Kobe's been injured the last two years and is old. No coach. No Gasol (yet). No team. Western Conference. Yuk.

Really, the Bulls are the team to go to if he wants to take a shot at next year.

I'd want them to take back JR and give up MCD too. We'll add in Prigs.

Return to New York Knicks
