That's a Hershell Walker kind of trade.

Knicks can take: Josh Jackson, Fox, and Isaac...the SF, PF and PG of the future for just ONE guy.

None of those guys are better than KP. Only one with "star" potential there is Jackson, and his potential is less than KP's

Bingo. There are other ways to fill via positions...no need to use our best asset to get potential at each position.

You just don't make this kind of deal. Not in this draft. The players simply are not good enough. Kristaps is better. Period.

Not just that Kristaps is better now. He was even a better player at 19. KP would go no lower than 2nd overall in this draft.

Because we didn't win the lottery. Duh!

Where does the relationship go from here if KP doesn't get traded? Phil and KP need to have a serious talk.

It's time to just trust in Phil. Everyone hated him when he picked KP over Mudiay and Okafor and any other scrub from that draft. Fans booing him etc. Now KP is the hottest thing in the block on draft night.

11 rings, coach, player, GM, doesn't matter, Phil is the right man for the job. He will right the ship.

Perfect analogy...we are trying to double up and may end up broke.

People think every player in this draft will be good. If anything, get the BKLN pick next year along with Jackson. But **** all this noise, **** you, Phil

and if he doesnt how the F do you repair a relationship like this lol this is getting ridiculous

I was fully against trading Porzingis, but if Boston gives us #3 pick + #7 this year, Brooklyn pick next year and also Jaylen Brown, It think the Knicks have to do that deal.
Maybe make Boston take Noah too somehow.

Except its highly unlikely that any of those prospects will ever become as good as KP. The Knicks should just build around him. Value wise its there if Phil can get Ainge to give up all of his best assets (which would include the Brooklyn picks and the Kings/Sixers pick), but you're better off with KP.

KP's TS% for his position has hovered around average to below over his first two seasons. His rebounding has also been below average. I'm not sure how everyone believes this kid is a sure thing- throw in the injury history....the Knicks would be foolish not to be listening.

For reference:
KAT's TS% - 60.6
KP's TS%- 54.6

KAT's Rebounds per48- 15.8
KP's rebounds per48- 10.5

The 2015 draft had towns, KP, booker, turner, and some solid role players. It might not even be better than the KP draft

Ainge's mouth piece said that you'd think they could get a deal done but nothing got close or nothing happening right now.

Go to the Celtics board for details. Nothing to see here move along. So with the 8th pick the Knicks select..

Phil needs to tell KP that it's simply due diligence, and that he was realistically never going to trade him, because th asking price was too high.

Screw Ainge....no deal unless its #3, 2018 Bk's pick, & Brown. They can keep Crowder. You don't trade a guy like KP to a DIVISION rival for nothing less than that. This benefits Boston to much for them to say no. If not, keep KP and move on.

That needed to happen anyway.

Just waiting on KP to actually call back.

Yup. We need to tell Boston two lottery picks and another first and KP is yours. It's an opportunity for pjax to redeem himself. Of course it also could backfire

If LeBron can play under Dan Gilbert, KP can play for Phil for two years before Phil retires
