Good. This team and fanbase doesn't deserve homegrown players. I like it. Trade Frank next.

he might be going to orlando when we refuse to part with the 1st

noah, frank, chicago 2nd for elfrid & biyombo

Blow it all up.

KP to Spurs for a two 2nd round picks and Joffrey Baratheon or whatever his name is.

Courtney Lee and Kyle to Lakers for Luol Deng.

Have a feeling Knicks dangle one of the 2nds in a KOQ or Lee deal to extract a 1st or young player

they are not getting a first for kyle by adding a 2nd...there were like 10 teams interested in willy and this was the best they could do. the market for kyle is not gonna be as good. he is what he is and you have to pay him.

OKC fans are willing to give us T-ferg if we just take singler and abrines....so if we take back a semi suck deal...we can get an asset...its what we should do.

OKC fans don't make the trades.

do you guys realize how devoid of talent we are that we have a 40 page thread on WHG. Not saying he's not going to turn into a potentially nice player but jeez, we really have 0 talent on this team it's **** sad

With KP gone we literally have zero talent on this roster.

I heard a rumor that KP's other ACL tore when he was told the news about Willy.

Some of you guys are crazy for expecting Monk. I didnt even want Monk in the draft but Willy's trade value isnt near that.

Jeff killed Willy's trade value. Everyone around the league knows Kanter's rep, hes a scorer w/ horrible defense who should be a backup. KOQ is another career backup. Willy not getting playing time over either of them lets other teams know that we didnt believe Willy had any sort of future.

I think it was a mistake trading Willy. We shouldve traded Kanter. I do like Kanter but only as a backup, instead hes our starter who is going to take up even more cap space. Willy couldve given you about the same production w/ less efficiency at a much much better price. Kid is only making 1.4 mil. His production wouldve been a steal at that price.

fair enough but they just beat golden state and are trying to win a championship and they have a glaring hole at 2 guard and backup big...Lee and KOQ make too much sense there.

The fuq do homegrown players matter if they aren't good? :lol:

Shump = not good
Landry Fields = not good
WHG = mediocre at best
Frank = tbd

etc. etc.

Willie was a decent backup C. He proved that already. He was making 1.5 a year. That's worth it just for cap management purposes. In that instance you trade KOQ who is making more and will get a bump over that sooner than WHG. I'd say at least here they are washes as players and WHG has a few years to catch up to KOQ or get better.

Basically, the Knicks have a rudderless leadership but figured they have to trade WHG because he "made waves" by asking for a trade because they are trying to establish "being professional". What a joke. They have done a professional thing yet.

the good thing about getting older is i care less about this every year. i've come to accept the fact that the knicks are losers and always will be. some things can't be fixed. the knicks, like fultz's jump shot, are one of them.

I can’t help but think there was a bit of a FU Willy behind this trade.

I mean, it's not like someone offered us a first and we said 'Nah!' Clearly Willy's value was at a second rounder and we probably held out until a team gave us two. Meh...

This deal does have the air of a triumph of the middling... a nod to mediocrity. Truly we have given hope to the millions unfavored by the exceptional. LOL... it's midnight, in New York.... Some of sound like you're giving shiva. But we're Knicks' fans. We should be used to that shyt!

Each and every year I care less about the franchise. Nearly 20 years of terrible decisions can do that to a man.

There will come a day when I will be completely impervious to the Knicks.
