If Trump gets even more deranged (I know, I know) the cabinet may get pressured by McConnell to cut him loose. They're going to lose the election either way, but the 25th Amendment is going to start trending the longer this goes on

You think he's got it too?

Yeah, same setting, same exposure. You saw the commentary by Olivia Troye, the resigned head of Pence's coronavirus task force. She was pretty clear they were all exposed. It appears she left in the nick of time

If he isn't infected, then he's hiding out and avoiding enraging the mad king by taking any of the attention. Trump is incapable of allowing Pence any freedom to operate so I think it will come down to either (a) Trump recovers and comes back to the WH, (b) Trump worsens and goes full-on hallucinatory and the cabinet has not choice but to invoke the 25th Amendment or (c) Pence really doesn't want the job and he'll avoid taking over until Trump is on death's door.

This is absolutely insane. This Trump representative is actually saying we followed the rules at the debate when the rules were EVERYONE had to wear masks other than Wallace and the two candidates while they were on stage. The audacity and continued lack of accountability and gaslighting about the pandemic is outrageous.

NOTE: This appears to be a pro-Trump Tweet which shows the unintended irony of MAGA minds when they actually think this reflects poorly on Wallace instead of Cortes and the Trump entourage who are the actual transgressors in the equation and are the superspreaders.

No politics! I don't want to incur the wrath of JVG

Spoiler:
Anyhow, as I was about to say :D ... That's rich of Cortez to make that accusation when Wallace lost all control of the debate to Trump's incessant and childish interrupting.

This is entirely about the pandemic though. Whatever the Trump camp is spinning about their culpability for spreading the virus is part of this thread. It's kind of the only story right now actually

My heart goes out to the secret service agents who were compelled to escort Trump in his vehicle. I hope they were somehow protected though I don't see how.

It appears that the steroid treatments Donald is receiving causes him to sign his name on blank pieces of paper while pretending he's working. So that appears to be a side-effect fwiw.

The secret service agents are pissed and rightfully so. This is according to the Washington Post.

itll never happen before the election

hes their ticket
they are riding or dieing

but after he loses when they are trying to steal the election with discounting the mail in ballots I could see them presenting Pence as a alternative via the 25th amendment

if that were true, it'd be one thing. but we all live in this bish together. it's sad af.

keeping it funky, i'm from the projects and grew up poor. i don't know HOW my mom took care of all us kids on just one wage worker job, and sometimes no job from being laid off. but that's not my reality today. my wife and i make decent bread and have the resources to ride this thing out in relative safety. we work from home. we can order in and sanitize stuff. we limit our trips out for supplies. that's not the reality for so many americans. they have to take daily risks i'm sure they'd rather not just to eat.

knowing that, we don't have enough people handling this with decency and respect for basic epidemiology. the more people get it, the more likely even those of us who are sheltering at home are to contract it. it's infuriating and saddening at once.
RIP magnumt
