It actually does because the 3 point shot is the single most important shot in the NBA. Derozan shot 25.7%(literally worse than Julius Randle) That makes him a liability. Lonzo’s percentage is above average. That makes him have value.
If Julius Randle were whining and complaining about people being rated over him, this would be quickly pointed out. Why should Derozan get a pass? He can’t shoot and that’s why he’s rated so low. He should probably get in the gym and fix his broken shot instead of crying on Twitter

Almost everything you wrote is tangential to the point that Lonzo "learned to shoot". I agree Lonzo has value, I agree DeRozan sucks and he has no reason not to fix his shot. I'm not disputing that at all. My only point was holding up Lonzo as if he is an example of doing that. in 2019-2020 Ball had a solid year shooting from three, and was abysmal shooting elsewhere.
His 3P% is just slightly above average for players who had at least 3 3PA per game last year (80th out of 188). Like you said, the 3 point shot is the single most important shot in the NBA, so when you factor that into his shooting percentages we can see that Lonzo's True Shooting Percentage was 51.7% last year.
League average was 56.3%.
But, that includes his legendarily bad 56.6% from the line, so lets take that out and just concentrate on his live-play shots. Using Effective Field Goal Percentage to give him proper credit for his increase in 3P% last year but not involve FT shooting at all, we can see that Lonzo posted a 51.1% last year.
League average was 52.9%
Even with an improvement to just above normal from three, Lonzo is an still OD terribly inefficient shooter from almost everywhere else on the floor. He got better compared to himself last year, but he's not some paradigm of "getting in the gym and learning to shoot".
And just for the sake of clarity, I totally agree that Lonzo has undeniable value in this league. I wouldn't be upset if the Knicks acquired him because of that value. But his shooting is a net negative to this point in his career, even with the improvement from 3 last year.

In 2020 when people say "shoot" it implies 3 pointers. He rarely even attempts free throws and teams will overlook that poor percentage if he continues to shoot 37.5% from 3 because that stretches the floor and changes the game for his teammates. Fact is, Lonzo was, prior to last year, a poor 3 point shooter who put in the work to improve his 3 point shot. I just don't think that "shooting elsewhere" actually matters that much if you can remain an above average 3pt shooter. So his midrange game sucks and he's not been efficient finishing at the rim. Ok. You'll take the 3 point shooting.

Absolutely. But I'll need someone like him once LeBron retires.

I used to have 3 sets of these back in 1996. They look cool if you don't overdue it, but subtlety is lost on these herbs. However, they become painful after wearing awhile. No matter how many times you get them adjusted.

Lebron hate somehow missed me. I'm indifferent to him while respecting his work ethic and talent

Are you saying you don't know the interviews with all those subtle hints at his GOAT legacy?

i kinda admire harden for putting the bucks on his list. giannis talked sh*t and it's not a great location but he can win there. that being said they have a bad package even if they include middelton. sixers would win easy if they include simmons but they might not. a package based around tyler, precious & duncan or allen, caris & dinwiddie. i'd take the heat package. 2 of the nets players are already 26 & 27. people like to act like they're young but they're not.
