I believe he's just getting smarter to the ny press and he's framing his answers in a way as to not give them anything else to exaggerate

Actually RJ looked him off the cutting Obi so he went out to the 3point line thinking that's where his man was, it was a very clever play by RJ. Even if he didn't bite there was no way that other guy in the paint could have gone up with Mitch for a lob that RJ also had available to him.

RJ just took what the defense gave him and let them decide which it was going to be, an Obi dunk or a Mitch dunk.
