Cavs guy said pump the breaks on Cavs fans think they can get some amazing deal for Sexton being that the team that trades for him will have to want to pay him so not that many suitors.

I'm not saying he can't be coached to be a real winning point guard, who involves his team and coached to playing league average defense. But it's a really big bet given what his QO and potential contract will be after next year. If he just keeps putting up counting stats he'll want $25+ regardless of his defense, Me'Angelo Russell type money.

You can make an argument he's had the worst coaching in the league? If they want to dump him for these late 1sts this year I'd be onboard with a rehab project but giving up anything of value for a guy with no value around the league on winning teams is dumb.

Sexton played SG for the most part with Garland but he played PG when Garland was out.

For us, Thibs might like him more as an attacking PG & then we can focus on getting a wing for the 2/3 in the draft or free agency.

My quote implies nothing of the sort, but read into it the worst intentions. It's a reference to a drinking game, where somebody does something and everybody drinks if you don't get that reference and you think I was calling you a drunk then I apologize.

He's got to have a few issues, otherwise they wouldn't be trading him. I think that's accurate.

But if Cleveland can draft Suggs, plus pick up either two first rounders this year or a #1 (yes, a little late) and a #1 from last year, maybe they like that idea of helping to accelerate the rebuild while saving some future cap $
