There will never be a Nets - Knicks trade no matter how much it makes sense or not.

The only team that I can see of trading for Amare would be GS Warriors. They would make a deal if Amare is healthy and things don't go well. The deal would be Biedrins + Lee for Amare and a filler.

Yes let's trade him to GS for Richard Jefferson and Andris Biedrins.

Your sarcasm aside, no way Golden State would trade for him unless a long term contract on their part is included which would be David Lee.

Lee's contract has one more year on it than Stoudemires with that year being a $15.5M 2014-2015. But it might be worth a thought if offered.

This hate filled thread is all the proof anyone would ever need that LBJ made the correct decision by refusing to come here. Jesus Christ could walk on water, and some of you would complain that the soles of his feet got wet.

No one in the NBA worked harder than Amar'e did between last season and now. He's committed to changing his game after the FIRST COACH in the history of his pro career actually asked him to play defense and learn to take advantage of his size and become a post player. he has a minor setback that is NOT season threatening and this board IMMEDIATELY climbs on a ledge and fights each other for the right to be the first to jump.

Some of you should be ashamed to calls yourselves Knicks fans. You would have complained that Willis only played for a few minutes against the Lakers in game 7, way back when. You would have KILLED bernard for destroying his knee while jogging. Nothing can please some of you, and EVERYTHING is a cause for hand wringing, whining, and crying like babies.

This is a great opportunity to jump ship and go to Brooklyn

Yeah I have to give a +1 to this thread. The bitching and moaning gets unbearable at times. It's one thing to be a rabid fan. It's another to lose your dignity because of it.

While I agree, that Amare hasn't earned much of his contract and yet another injury isnt't helping his case. The hatred around here has to stop. It's preseason!!! No meaningful game has been played yet and none of us know how servere his knee injurey is. But let's just go ahead and trash the season right before it even startetd, right? SMH

In the one game where he played he shot at a high % from the field in limited minutes. We do have defensive weapons all over the roaster. What we need is a 2nd scoring option next to melo. If he can give us that plus average defense it will be a good season!

Oh and albert, just go away. you are unbearable!
too many urkels on your team, that's why your wins low

1. Neither fans nor the organization owe anything to Amare. The Knicks were the only team in the NBA willing to offer him unguaranteed max contract, even though his injury problems were well known. It is only logical to demand the value returned in equal measure. This false sense of gratitude we should be showing him for doing what he was paid for is silly.

2. It's absurd to give Amare praise for taking steps towards becoming a complete basketball player after 10 or so years of his career. A true professional wouldn't be learning post moves and defense at 29 years of age, he would have simply be honing the fundamentals he gained in HS or whenever he first started practicing basketball in a team environment. He wouldn't have to rely on any coach to tell him what he already should have known.

3. Neither you nor anyone else has the authority to determine how a proper fan should behave towards his team. As a fan, you invest a lot of your time which could be used productively, towards supporting your team. It is only natural that after a certain while you want to see results, especially when your organization signs players that are supposedly good on paper to a great deal of money, which affects the future moves it can make when building a team. We have every right to be critical of the organization and its moves, just as we have every right to be critical of players when they fail to meet our expectations. Blindless support is reserved for fanatics, not fans.

I actually agree with your 1st and 2nd point. However your 3rd point is exactly what is wrong with fans like you who have done nothing but complain since your favorite players were let go (Gallo and Lin).

It is not about blindly following the organization. It is that people like you complain about EVERY MOVE.
Unless we have your favorite players here (Hi Lin and Gallo) you will complain. Nothing will be good enough for you.

You guys would be happier having Gallo and Chandler lead us to mediocrity because they are young, exude potential (so laughable) and are likable.

We have been devoid of a star and everyone we bring in is labeled as selfish and not good enough.

No one is asking you to blindly follow the team. We are asking you to put away your bias because you hate this team for trading away your favorite players.

We are tired of the whining. They are GONE LET IT GO.

That is real talk.

thats the problem with most here, they care about "stars" no matter how flawed they may be

this team is no better with two stars, only we are in cap hell.

I have been complaining before there was even talk of Gallo being traded or Amare being signed. And I'll keep doing that whenever I see that our FO is making dumb moves. There's no need to get on your high horse just because you don't care about their blunders anymore.
