OP- This happens on Bumble and Tinder. Mecca kind of hit this thing on the head. They got a buffet to eat from and if they dont know what they want, they keep it swiping.

Earlier this morning, I met a super bad girl on Bumble. Got her math and finessed the convo. Asked to grab a drink & didn't receive an answer. I check an hour later to see I got blocked on IG and my #. Why? I have no clue, but again, either found someone new or didn't know what she wanted. And this is today alone. It's just an example of the side-effects from having so much access to dating.

I was actually going to post something earlier about an experience I had.

Matched with a Miss California beauty queen. I didnt even know she was until we got somewhat deep into convo. Then she says, check out my IG to know a little more about me. So I peep it, she has like 20k followers and is a damn beauty queen. Thought nothing of it other than maybe her brains matches her beauty, and I wanted to find out. Gave her my #, she texts me goodnight etc. Next day hit her up, ghosted. I was like nah, youre weird. I sent her one text and was like just let me know if Im wasting my time, got nothing back. Deleted her # and took note.

LOL that's why I always get the IG first to see if she's worth the time. & word, that ish really be the worst. Can't count how many times that's happened to me. It's the worst when they bad as hell too.

It hurts because I am normally shy and reserved and it takes a while for me to open up. And when I do and I'm rejected it hurts. I just have to learn to step back a bit. I have stomach issues too (IBS) that also don't help me when I'm on dates or my confidence in general. This girl was really understanding and cool and I guess I felt more attracted because of that.

Sometimes you need to vent to non-bro friends who tell you to ‘f that girl, move on to the next’. Which is fine advice but doesn’t really solve anything either.

I’ve been super upset when things flake after a couple dates because as you get older, you know when you like and don’t like someone and don’t wanna waste the opportunity. It’s the worst man. It happens man. I had a similar thing happen to me in my early twenties and it set off a bout with depression. I had other things going on but I was a little delicate at that time and was kinda the fire that lit the match.

I don't know why you came here for advice though. Yikes.

The best advice I can give you is to not dwell on it or try to figure out the exact reason why it happened. You are especially not going to figure out what was going on in her head.
