No thanks. I get my fill of suck from the Knicks and Jets. You, on the other hand, seem to have greater needs for it. :D

I know it. So, we have two teams now where we're rooting for losses in order to cause massive firings. :noway: Oh, the pain.

What'd you think of Collins while he was here? I happened to love him but a lot of other people, not so much. He's old school. He's not an advanced stat guy ... like you are.

What was Aaron Boones track record as a manager when the Yankees hired him?

How could I judge his track record before they hired Boone? How did you score him without any managerial track record? Which is why I will hold judgment.

As for Beltran, we know him only as a player and what other puff pieces that come out. Every new manager that comes in there's a certain amount of positive feedback from their old employers or past relationships.

Mets are a bit difficult due to our ridiculous coupon clippings from our owner and an unorthodox GM that supposedly meddles during a game to pull certain people out. So yes, my concern is still the same as with Mickey. How will he handle the bullpen and will our lineup make sense?

On metsblog there was some talk about relievers (Hudson?) and some of the middle to bottom of the rotation free agents.

Oh, the “big” name is taking another stab at Grandahl bc if Ramos’s crappy defense. There’s also talk of trading JD Davis and possibly Dom Smith

I was thinking about this. I love Ramos bat but it has hurt our pitching (see bullpen to some extent). It would be sad that we have to let go of Dom Smith or JD Davis because we need to tack on some crap contract to open up Wilpon's wallet.

Metsblog pointed out, and I agree with it, that we don't trade Dominic just to trade him. It's got to be for equal value.

JD would be perfect for an AL team looking for a DH. JD's gonna be a 30 HR guy especially if you put in one of those bandbox parks.

Mets looking at Martin Maldonado, Jason Castro and Russell Martin as a part-time backup to Ramos instead of Grandahl.

Legendary considering the lack of run support and the tight margin of error he has to tight rope with this team every night out. Too bad we are completely wasting his prime years.

I wonder what we'll get from Lowrie and Cano next season?

Beltran is going to start off his Mets' managerial debut suspended by MLB for "cheating."

I don't know whether to be happy that we have a manager who literally cheat to win or flabbergasted that hiring a "cheater" who will bring dishonor to our crappy team.

Hey bNo, great pick for manager. We look like a bunch of fools now. We're probably going to have to cut bait with Beltran because MLB is taking this investigation so seriously. Suspensions are probable.

And the no. 2 character trait that the Mets were most impressed with was "trustworthiness."

Stealing signs isn't cheating in my eyes. It's part of the game.

Oh, I agree. Which is why part of me likes Beltran even more but it's just so Metsian to pick another new, first-time manager - and this time a former Met - and have him suspended over it. Because whatever you and I think about stealing signs, MLB is taking this seriously.

Besides, it's a chance to dump on bNo.
